Does "Potato Bowl" really mean anything these days? I have yet to hear, "Yeah I'm going to the game its "Potato Bowl Weekend!" (Growing up in Grand Forks it generally meant free fries and a parade...oh yeah and a football game. Which you were probably going to or not regardless). Every home game is something: Season Opener, Potato Bowl, Military Appreciation, Homecoming, Hall of Fame Band Day, Senior Recognition. **Those guys down south have basically set the areas populations expectations "unrealistically" high....When UND Mens Basketball makes the NCAA tournament. It will be a nice prize to UND fans. But now it'll be "When will you win a first round game?"

Totally agree and tailgate in the "closest open spots" they assigned me. Only to be way in the back by only a couple other groups with large amount of space between me and everyone else that was a no show. Part of your post doesn't make sense as a tailgate spot is $15 vs $5 for general parking. As I have pointed it I think its a little pricey to tailgate. I know you can divide it up, but some people don't want to say "hey give me money and you can come." And who wants to just tailgate in one spot? I like to pull my trailer (takes up two spots) and park my truck next to it using the engine and power inverter for electricity. $45 per game just to tailgate, and that doesn't even give me one open spot to hang out.... (I know I could get lower prices for a "season tailgate pass.")

Yes. That's be great. OR put anything on the walls on the west side...Fatheads, backlit historical UND football pictures, etc.... While we're at it. Put drop ceiling tiles in the building. Sheetrock over all the ugly tin. And put down a an actual floor like tile over all the painted concrete.

All of UND's wins have been against cupcakes so far this year. This game (besides the NDSU game) will really show where the team is. They win this game they have a great chance to make the playoffs.

Based on history of certain buildings, it appears the Alerus Center is now halfway through its life (I doubt it though. way too much money invested). Those "fireworks" just seem like loud bangs and not much "fire." Move them over the endzones like at the Ralphs are over the goals. TWo per end. One on each side of the field goals. Put in a bar/lounge for halftime where the merchandise sales/"pub 42"(or whatever its called).Sell the naming rights. Frame a few walls and and put in a bar and some tables. Not that hard. Plus it would free up the east side "hallway." Its almost impossible to walk around there at halftime and that's with a half full stadium.

Not anymore. I was there a week ago. They rearranged and the UND section is smaller than ever. I had to search for it to find it tucked away. Just a small apparel section now.

Construction Engineer was the main contractor. My buddies got the drywall and painting contract you might have run into them. A nice perk is they have UND football schedule coasters. I recommend the Scotch Eggs.

Yup even after recently winning a championship and still winning. Students would only fill half the section and/or leave at halftime. Didn't you just contradict yourself? More will show up if UND starts winning more regularily but no matter what will leave at halftime.
