Go UND Fighting Hawks?!

If only everyone was as smart as people who post on SiouxSports.

I told one guy on facebook, whos profile picture was that of the "blackhawk hawk logo," That logo won't be used at UND and is owned by another company. He responded, "You don't know that." I guess he's sorta right...I guess UND could pay a bunch and buy it, but highly unlikely.

And I've spoken to a bunch that say otherwise too and let me know there is already a Roughriders in GF and it'd be stupid to have another. It's hard to deny it something people consider when considering which one to vote for.

People that don't know what the nicknames of North Dakota are. People who think the "Blackhawk hawk Maplesoft hawks" logo will be used at UND. People who think that UND only represents Grand Forks.

I disagree. I think a hawk logo, you're stuck with a hawk logo. Roughriders leaves it more open ended.

That's the second phantom thing the Herald has posted about hawks. I'm still trying to find the picture of the sioux logo transforming into a hawk logo (it says it wasn't the blackhawk one). IIRC, a UND professor made it they claimed. Sure would be a good time to have a picture with the article.

If you live in Grand Forks or Fargo you're gonna want to concentrate more on the plane ticket, especially allegiant air, than the game ticket.

There was probably Roughriders that played hockey. Never seen a Fighting Hawk play hockey.

If UND wanted a unique to North Dakota bland name they should have picked Prairie Chickens. North Dakota is only one of a few states left they habitat.

....and they have the worst logo in college athletics.
