We all love replay. But things have definitely changed in athletics. Refs are now sometimes not ruling things on the field as they think they might be. They are letting things happen, say a fumble, and allowing the play to develop, to then see the replay, because otherwise it would be ruled dead and the replay wouldn't matter. Replay has changed how refs ref.

You would think so.

Missing the playoffs five straight years (maybe 6 now) doesn't go over good with anyone. I swear (from my observations. No proof) coaches (sometimes) do the best within the first few years then get comfy or something. Dave Hakstol's team went the furthest in his first year. Dale Lennons best year was in his third year at UND.

He might have only one year left on his contract. Or does it expire this year? They seem to be giving him shorter leashes.

I think you get a few average joes across the country that don't follow it close. Saw a vote for UND nickname and all the hype. Voted. And probably thought that was the end of it.

They need to do the simple things that help. Ok You wanna sell beer in the catwalk, Ok you wanna point it toward the field making the line in front of it directly block the walkway. At least put a small crowd control "rope" directing the people in line to the side and not directly in front blocking the walkway. Minor things, but they are somewhat problematic with only 8,000 people. Couldn't imagine the clusterfu*k with 13,000.

The new Video Boards (along other smaller or convention side things/kitchen upgrades etc) and I'm glad they have the plan and finances to keep it upgraded. I just think it'd be nice if they did more for the arena side. Like multiple things mentioned here before before: Upgrades to the hallway walls, Put a ceiling to cover the pipes. Put an actual floor down instead of painted concrete, etc. Maybe those things are next.

The city of Grand Forks really does need to be thinking about how to raise funds to upgrade/update the Alerus Center, It's 15 years old now. Every year that goes by it becomes more outdated. And that's not good for no one. The Alerus whether you like it or not is a show/center piece of Grand Forks, this isn't the Old Civic Center, and the Civic Leaders of Grand Forks need to make sure it stays current. They did an excellent job with the upgrade a few years ago to the convention side with all the exterior glass and the new video boards (Where did that money come from?) But not much has changed in the arena side besides a few minor things.

I call Boeser a Junior, because next season will probably be his last in a UND jersey.
