Where to eat...not the Columbia Mall food court apparently. Only Magic Chopstix remains...and Friday at 7 it's closed.
-
Now that Temper Tantrum Mark is publicly feuding with one of the Universities largest donor families, I'm sure the football donations will start rolling in.
-
Good looking court right there. The REA got it right.

We're assuming those workers and shoppers want to have family time. Or even have family in the area. I like the Idea of people choosing themselves if they want family time. -

Having the Fighting Hawk logo at the center of the Alerus would probably help more brand recognition than only having the two Fighting Hawk logos on the end of the basketball courts.
-
Youre confusing formal vs informal voting.
-
That's cool and all but that's the facts.
-
Maybe formally, but Mark went on a tirade after being told REA board has made up their minds and that they likely won't change their minds. Marks second tirade (May 1) was made after being told court plans went out to contractors.
-
Kennedy asked to have the logo at center court. They responded with sorry Mark youre too late we already voted and put the process in order. Mark Kennedy goes on a tirade for not getting his way. Pissing off probably the entire Ralph Engelstad Arena organization.
-
Mark Kennedy threw a huge hissy fit about not having the Fighting Hawk logo at center court and in the process upset some very important people.

I can't go buy grass seed at Walmart at 10 am Sunday because of Church, but North Dakota is gonna let me smoke weed and gamble? -
Still waiting for the word from Sprig. Was at the Pep today and thought for a second about getting a grinder. Then I remembered I wouldn't even remember what the old bread taste like, as I'm more of a tostada kind of guy.

The Betty wasn't built with donated money.
-
Maybe UND agreed to 52% as a way to help pay for building UND a new basketball arena knowing basketball could never repay it with basketball and volleyball ticket sales alone?

It's been a reoccuring topic on this message board for years now.

I can only educate you so much in such a short amount of time. Try google.

She has friends that work at the Herald and when they found out she was in town. They asked her if they could have an on the record interview with her....and the juicy parts of what she had to say are what you see.
-
You're confusing two different entities. The Engelstad Family foundation is not the "REA Foundation."
-
Pretty much. UND wants that $800,000 to spend how they see fit instead of the REA spending it on a new roof for the Betty. And why a lot of people fear when UND takes over the complex, as it'll likely fall into disarray like all the other "deferred maintenance" and "scheduled to be demolished" when they look around campus.
-
What? The REA gave back more than $20,000 in 2016.
-
To the REA foundation. No money goes to the Engelstad Foundation. The REA uses that money, along with donations, to upgrade the locker rooms, upgrade the scoreboard, build the betty, upgrade the betty, upgrade the ralph, pay its bills, etc. And then what is left over give back to the University.
-
I'm taking my ball and going home!
-
The theme is the board of directors at UND/REA is secretly funneling all the profits from the building to the Engelstad Foundation without any of them noticing and them using that money to redonate it later to UND, organizations in Grand Forks, and other places throughout the country!
