  1. Rocco says: "You can do both."
  2. I don't think so. There is no guarantee to make more money after their junior year. One could argue they could even develop more in the AHL than another year at UND while getting paid. I don't think someone like Rocco who has spent most of his time in the AHL and only a little in the NHL, sits there at night really wishing he'd have played four years of college instead of only three.
  3. I doubt most who leave early regret it. They make money and don't have to do homework, while getting one step closer of their dreams of being a pro hockey player. It's getting more and more rare for any player to not sign after their junior year at UND. It's a pretty good bet Poolman will be gone after next year too.
  4. Don't go to GopherPuckLive then. It only took me one second to see it over there. The top thread there was started by someone named "F Da Sue". Not to mention they pinned the upcoming game against UND at the top.
  5. Heard over the weekend, the students named the Hawk in the middle of the UND logo. His or her name is Sioux. Go Sioux. Go Hawks. It's one in the same now.
  6. Head over to the Fritz (or is it called The Chester in today's world?) tomorrow. There's gonna be a good performance.
  7. He clearly was trying to go in with his elbow not his knee.
  8. Hakstol was all over the country to look and talk to recruits, including going to Waterloo, Iowa and back in a day just to have coffee with Boeser. He wasn't gonna leave anything up to "chance."
  9. Every coach has their strength and weakness. When Hakstol was running the ship they might have been better recruiters.
  10. Which means I point out things on any UND hockey coach regime.
  11. This team hasn't gone two straight years without any first round draft picks since the (new) Ralph was built. Tychonick is the only hope. He is currently ranked 45th among North American skaters according to NHL Central Scouting.
  12. Dave Hakstol only had one team not have any first rounders...he won the WCHA Final Five. Brad Berry without any first rounders...misses the NCAA playoffs and brings home no hardware.
  13. Someone isn't happy about them trying to tear down the Chester Fritz Auditorium, http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/education/4419294-show-goes-fritz-now
  14. I heard Lucia clubbed a baby this weekend after finding out he didn't make the playoffs.
  15. I thought that was Bob Motzko.
  16. I'd hate to see what year four and five look like!
  17. Not sure why Brewster seems to always be given a pass. Maybe cause less people pay attention to womens basketball? If you asked people what the number one goal of the basketball teams should be, it would be to make March Madness (sorta like hockey team can finish middle of the conference pack, but as long as they make the postseason/frozen four that's all that really matters). Brian Jones has a better track record of reaching that goal than Brewster.
  18. If there was no changes that made it go from Hero to Zero in one year. What changes does Chaves make it go back to Hero in one year?
  19. ...and standing...and "creative chants". This destruction of a good time by the student section has been going on for a long time. First they came for the Students, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Student. Then they came for the Parking Prices, and I did not speak out— Because I got a season parking pass. Then they came for Beer Grandma, and I did not speak out— Because I don't drink. Then they came for the atmosphere—and there was no one left to cheer.
  20. The price nowadays is as high as $15 to park near the Ralph.
  21. and now a live look at McGovern's as they announced the Fighting Irish knock out Minnesota on St. Paddy's day:
