And because I didn't give the goalies their due ... SAUNDERS, Gothberg, Hrynkiw on the roster with Cam Johnson lined up to replace Saunders in 2014. I'd say Hakstol's recruiting plan is dead on between now and fall 2015 as it has replacements lined up for all the Jr/Sr plus an extra F and an extra D (to cover potential early departures by today's So/Fr).

Why is Cooke with the Wild? The same reason Semenko and McSorley were Oilers.

Thread winner.

The ralston situation does not confirm the other question. Long ago when I know it was all production by radio (not UND) UND still had right of refusal on air talent.

I'm not sure which answer to give: 1. I've seen it look like this before and somehow Hak and his staff make it work. or 2. What log jam? History says Hak and Co. look at a rolling two-year roster window and decide who should come in based on performance and need. They have replacements needed in two years lined up for the current seniors and juniors plus a spare D and F in case a So/Fr jumps early. We have 8 D on the roster (SIMPSON*, Mattson, Panz, Schmaltz, Ladue, Thompson, Ausmus, Stecher). Three of the eight are Sr/Jr. There are 4 D in the pipeline (Poolman, Pelnik, Mantha, Evers). That says they're prepared for one So/Fr defense to leave early. We have 16 F on the roster (RODWELL, MITMAC, Senkbeil, Gaarder, Parks, MarMac, O'D, Pattyn, Caggiula, StC, Grimaldi, Sanderson, Chyzyk, Tambellini, Murphy, Johnson). Eight of those 16 are Sr/Jr. We have 9 F in the pipeline (in order of calendar age: Olson, Rowe, Voltin, Poganski, Schmaltz, Gardner, Gersich, Wilkie, Gropp) That says they're prepared for one So/Fr forward to leave early. Problem? What problem? One more thought, on August 1, 2015, Poganski, Schmaltz, Gardner, Gershich, Wilkie, and Gropp will all be less than 19.5 years old. on August 1, 2014, Poganski, Schmaltz, Gardner, Gershich, WIlkie, and Gropp will all be less than 18.5 years old. *ALL CAPS = seniors

I miss the old school logos: - the Hartford Whalers logo with the obvious W, the subtle H, and the whale tail - the old (yes, baseball) Milwaukee Brewers "mit" logo that was an M (glove fingers) and a B (glove thumb and palm) and a baseball in the mit. Most new logos just aren't that creative.

Maybe we'll sweep a home series this year ...

To be clear, do I wish the logo was at mid-field? Sure. But it's not, and it's not going to change until naming rights at Alerus Center change. No amount of grousing here is going to change that.
-
If you want a UND logo at mid-field, buy out the naming rights from Alerus Financial and put it there. Short of that, those who own the rights will do what is within their rights. You don't have to like it; heck, you don't even have to agree with it; you just have to deal with it.

Complaining about a roof over our heads and new state-of-the-art turf under our feet. Seriously? What next? Your ice cream too cold? It's nearly as bad as complaining that the free $104 million hockey facility only added on a 3500 seat basketball facility ... for free. That's almost $200 million in facilities that UND plays in that they've payed ... zero ... for. For perspective, we're still waiting to close out raising the $20 million to do Phase 2 of the yet started Phase 1 of the indoor training facility. Complaining about a mid-field logo suddenly seems pretty petty to me when all the other gifts and blessings are considered.

I know NDSU does their own production, buys air time on stations, and then sells their own ads. I don't know if UND does that.

With a logo nearly identical to a team in an adjoining state?

I wouldn't mind using a great horned owl mascot with UND green eyes. They are the apex predator of, they rule, the skies in this region. They consistently feast upon prey two and three times their size.

So many of you missed what I wrote ... note the use of the word "too" when you re-read it.

You are able to post here but not do a simple internet search for an FM station operated by Prairie Public Radio and Television? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KFJM
