Your Summit Hockey notion has lots of moving parts (including having to have the MVFC play along). Wouldn't it be easier for the Summit to find a couple baseball affiliates (or get USD or DU to add the sport)? Ghastly as it would be for the Summit, NJIT baseball is available and would solve their issue. Last thought: Would the SUs and USD allow their futures be dictated by the evil that is ... < gasp > ... ice hockey.

Simple questions: Where would EIU play? Their club team travels to Danville, IL, to practice and play home games. There's no rink in Charleston, IL. The trip is 70 miles one way. Who else would play "Summit Hockey" besides DU and UNO? EIU? That's three. Then ... who? St. Cloud? Duluth? Can either of those two make the jump to full Division I status to join the Summit? I guess I'm not seeing the numbers. Please explain how the numbers could work. My guess? EIU is moving from ACHA DII to ACHA DI.

There's a lot of skepticism about the credibility of these reports in many quarters.

I miss my conversations with opposing goaltenders. Well, conversations might not be the right word. I'd tell them various factoids about their lives and friends and girlfriends (and what their friends were doing with their girlfriends) and if they heard me or heard enough they'd reply in "sign language". My favorites were John Blue and Steven Wagner. I think they liked me. Both flashed me a sign that I've been told I should interpret as "I'm #1." The new tall glass in REA doesn't lend aid to a conversationalist like me.

The same crowd that put us in this < this space available > position would make that "Green Energy" in no time. Fail.

D) proceed to a police car back seat confessional about how your girlfriend is way out of their league.

That list of commissioners sounds like the list of "the winners of the losers" if/when the top 70 get their way.

When? When the top 70 or so get their private club on top and the leftovers (about 50 or so) need the top half of FCS to join up with them.

There is no Mafia. And we all just hang out in private social clubs. Capiche.

Here is my re-affirmation of support for the use of the moniker "Mafia". Supporting arguments: http://forum.siouxsp...erfect-moniker/ PS - No skull caps ... Fedoras.

Here's my guess as to why: The University of North Dakota < this space available > Putting "North Dakota" on the front of the jersey, that won't change; but, if a new moniker/logo are chosen it can be added at such time.

UND's official "green" color is defined under the Pantone Color Matching System as Pantone 347. See http://und.edu/ident...lines/color.cfm for details on the exact colors used for other official UND presentations. Yes it is. I say this because I heard "Start Me Up*" too many times in the building just west of Memorial Stadium. *Not a Stones fan.

Something to fill the gap between the end and the start of hockey season.

AL teams seem to have a late career, big, power hitter on their bench all season. NL teams don't seem to carry that. The AL win last night signals to all the contending NL teams that they need to start sniffing for a DH for the World Series.
