  1. "Other than folks in this region ..."
  2. Other than folks in this region, how many people, honestly, understood that obtuse, obscure reference? Step clear from your opinions/biases either way. I'm thinking it went right over the head of the vast majority of viewers.
  3. Because it so closely follows what she sees at home every day?
  4. They don't call that "thanking", it's called "frisking" by the police.
  5. What's all the uproar? There is no "Dakota University" ... other than maybe Si Tanka College (a college run by Dakota Sioux). I sure hope they aren't "dis-ing" those folks. The University of North Dakota has no moniker, no mascot: no problem.
  6. It's a good day to not have a moniker or mascot.
  7. So you've seen his girlfriend.
  8. Logo? A little green trim and good to go.
  9. Yeah, but I'll take Wild Hog in GF over most other restaurants.
  10. I'll say it again: If a player has an obvious shortcoming (pun intended) they must have some other devastatingly good part to their game to make up for it. Is Rocco devastatingly fast (ala Nathan Gerbe)? Does Rocco have Gretzky-esque on-ice vision? Can Rocco's shot dent the pipes? He's very, very good, but not NHL ready.
  11. Too Minnesota/Wisconsin.
  12. If it were my choice, it'd come down to Rough Riders or Mjolnir with Nokota/Nokes ( <-- war ponies) coming in third.
  13. Mjolnir, What is it? "The War Hammer". " ... that which smashes ... " The most powerful weapon in Norse-Germanic mythology, and only those worthy may wield it. "Mjölnir is depicted in Norse mythology as one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of leveling mountains." <-- That would explain ND's topography.
  14. Why do the Wild wear the green jerseys and not the maroon jerseys at home (in The X) in the playoffs? Think about it ...
  15. <comment here about "if it's on the internet it must be true" >
  16. They're, as in "they are". You missed it ... twice. <facepalm> There: a place, as in "over there". Their: possessive, as in "give that back, it's theirs, not yours". They're: a contraction for "they are", as in "They are facing class B misdemeanors". Signed, The Society to Prevent Cruelty to the English Language
  17. Let me say it again: We're always just a lawn mower toss away from the next issue.
  18. That's disrespectful. Those squirts never looked that bad.
  19. Ron Gardenhire can not fathom such a thing.
  20. Well, there are five area guys who may be "incommunicado" for a couple days ...
  21. <ding!> Winner.
  22. Is it me or are there an extraordinary number of final minute goals in the NHL playoffs this year. Ducks just now. Avs last night. Jackets did it in game 5. Blues did it at least once.
  23. Were you guys saying something? I was busy reading http://www.grandforksherald.com/content/und-pace-better-athletics-gpa-third-year-row
  24. " ... other names making the social media rounds ... " I love it when news sources use internet posting boards (full of speculation and wishful thinking) as "legitimate" sources.
