    Like it or not, people perceive your comments on how well you present them. If you're going to criticise the offensive play calling or the offensive coordinator it might be good to not call them what you hear (offense of) but what the jobs are (offensive). And for the record, I'd like better, less conservative, play calling with a lead. It's pretty clear that in the BSC a 14 point second half lead is something most teams can easily overcome over good defenses.

    Did I say that's what the logo would be? No. That's how the Fargo Forum perceives what a "Nodak" is. The largest newspaper in the state perceives the word "Nodak" to be a bibs wearin' hick. So keep your money, or bet the Forum editorial board (as it's their work), and quit shooting messengers.

    That cartoon was the prime editorial cartoon in Sunday's Fargo Forum. That's not a scare tactic by me; the Forum is putting that out there; that is reality, and not of my doing. Please save your vitriol for them.

    Another question: Why the request for a TRO on the vote? What are they afraid of there? If their (dubious in my mind) claim is only the Legislature can do anything isn't the vote moot?

    Let's go to June 2012, the measure as it appeared on the ballot said:[7] So the Legislature passed SB 2370 to require UND to do something other than what it was planning to do. Doesn't that indicate that UND had/has the power and authority to change the name because what the Legislature did precluded UND's rightful authority?

    You didn't like the first response? How about ... It is a new beginning to a new timeline that history says will have a changing logo. So focus on the nickname, not the (sure to change) logo, to start things off.

    How many different logos were used with the old nickname? Right away I come up with Ben Brien's, the geometric, the blackhawk, "Sammy", ... Art, visual styles, change with eras. The nickname is what ties the timeline together. That's why I think voting on names without logos does make sense.

    If Nodaks is so good and was used already in the '40s ... why was it dropped. Don't say "for Sioux" because that was adopted in the '30s. If Nodaks is so great, why was it dropped.

    petey23: What the NCAA did is do a full vote to grant the Executive Committee the powers to make moves like the move they made on August 5, 2005. In doing so they gave vast, unchecked power to that group within their organization.

    I believe that Arizona State will end up with better attendance than OSU or PSU over the longer term. Notice I didn't say "fan base", but "attendance". I see them getting a small fan base but a lot of snow bird attendees depending on the opponent. I have a place I can stay in the Phoenix area in the winter. I've already warned people that my visits will be based on the ASU home hockey schedule.
