  1. I could only support this if UND was guaranteed its home conference games would always be Fri/Sat nights unless UND requested otherwise. Put another way, UND has it pretty good now; I'd only sign on to that good or better. If the B1G doesn't agree, neither does UND. < shrug >
  2. So with 14 (assuming UI is in) is it logical to do two groups of seven? Just thinking on the keyboard, with that you'd probably play everyone in your seven (six games, 3H/3R alternating annually) and two from the other side to make eight conference games. How would you pick the two? Schedule out for years and let the chips fall or base next year's schedule on last year's finish? (Finish last in west and play seven and six from east the next season?)
  3. I put this on USCHO in the Arizona State thread earlier today. It fits here also. I probably should have said "fill their barns if even for just one weekend" and re-engage their fan bases. Now, let me repeat my other prior statement: I could only support this if UND was guaranteed its home conference games would always be Fri/Sat nights unless UND requested otherwise.
  4. C'mon, they fit right in with OSU and PSU.
  5. True or False: Eastern Michigan and the MAC are at the current FBS level.
  6. If they break it up into 7 and 7, my guess is it'll be based on travel/logistics.
  7. Silly question, but why is this thread still open? Aren't we recruiting 2016-17?
  8. Herd, is this the problem? The nomiclature? Ohio State is FBS. Troy State is FBS. You've just said what SV's been saying: the G5 and the top of FCS will end up being one entity a tier below the P5 sooner than later. No where have I seen SV claim the BSC to be the sixth of the P6. He's said FBS and how the Big Sky looks like the MAC (a G5). If I'm wrong, please give me a link to where SV said the BSC would be part of the P5.
  9. Has no one anything more to add or share? < shines the "meeting at the truck stop" signal at the sky to signal the #gobc >
  10. Devil's Advocate time: If Shanks is doing that is giving fuel to the anti-FCOA crowd. They'll say it's a sign that the athletes don't need it.
  11. I believe the bolded portion can also be spelled as "interfere, hold, clutch and grab".
  12. I can solve the concourse width issue quite easily: When you're gabbing with (friends/relatives/business associates/that hot hook-up you're trying to get) how about you don't dead-stop in the middle of the concourse but instead step to the side. I see it in every arena in this region. It's like people don't think about the folks trying to move through the same space.
  13. Fargo counts all of Clay County, MN, in its metro number. It's how it's done.
  14. I was getting concerned because the first three minutes is all throws to deep open receivers or runs. (He does have leg length and a stride similar to Studsrud.) It took going that far to see a couple of throws into the middle or deep outs. That's where you see both arm strength and judgment.
  15. You'd hope a metro of just under four million could sell out a 10k rink when a metro of 100k can sell out 12k.
  16. Dave is Twins management, not Twins money. You are more confident than I am.
  17. Yeah, that Demers/Washington old Hardee's has bad feng shui. But when I look at it I think about how the old Hardee's at Sheyenne and Main in West Fargo found new life as a Sandy's Donuts.
  18. I wondered what "The Superstar" Mike Morris is doing since being booted from the "Power Trip Morning Show". Good to hear from you Mike.
  19. There are spots that for some reason just are cursed (bad feng shui?). The one I always think of is on 45th in Fargo: It was a Bennigan's, then a steak house, another steak house, something else, a Quaker Steak and Lube, and now empty ... again. https://www.google.com/maps/search/46.853284,+-96.861177/@46.8531023,-96.8611499,387m/data=!3m1!1e3
  20. *if you look past being rejected more than once by their first choice conference
  21. I see they need roughly a half million by August 30 and another half million by February 2017. Quite frankly, I just don't see it happening unless there is some great unknown sugar daddy.
  22. Lay off the Co-60.
  23. Pick a few things, and do them exceptionally well at the highest level. 21 is too many; 19 is too many.
  24. Isn't the scholarship minimum specification 200 scholarships or at least $4 million on scholarships? Assume UND fully funded in FB, MH, WH, MBB, WBB (63, 18, 18, 11, 13?) so there's 120+. For some reason the number 188 for UND is in my head but I'm not on the right computer right now.
  25. Not "miss" as in dead, but I miss his business sense in Twamley Hall. It's a good thing Ed Schafer is in Twamley now.
