This to me is a very key point. This is what are students, and taxpayers, kicking in for fun and games.

Looks to me like they stole the "determined" eye from our ugly woolly brown drool cow neighbors to the south.

Whoa-whoa-whoa there hombres ... let's not get ahead of ourselves. Have you defined the process by which the committee members are selected? And the process had better define which committee has which responsibilities. Meanwhile and elsewhere Ed Schafer has already decided and is two agenda items further down the page.

Somebody paid for that?

Hokey smokes! I knew we'd had an SIJHL goalie but didn't recall that name. Kudos to you for finding the name. I'm guessing Harrington was at UND in 2008-09 as that's the gap in his HockeyDB.com profile: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=93297 -
Are you including a "quality losses" factor?

Best team? Colorado College. They've tied UND in Grand Forks and beaten St. Cloud at the National Concrete Center.

I thought UND had a goalie who played in the SIJHL. (He wasn't here long.) It wasn't Siembida or Sedevie. ... Darn brain ... -
Rob Port and the SayAnythingBlog chimes in: https://sayanythingblog.com/entry/ndsu-hits-students-with-request-for-a-34-percent-fee-increase/

I hold out hope that the brothers Poolman follow the lead of the brothers Schmaltz and play one season together.

Could this be the guy Ed Schafer obtusely referred to? I was thinking the UNI president.

So Bresciani has a goal to make NDSU AAU ....
The Sicatoka replied to SiouxVolley's topic in Community
The speed limit on the interstates in ND is 75 mph. The speed limit on the interstates in SD is 80 mph. That does not mean that Bresciani can drive 80 mph on ND interstates just because it's different elsewhere. Don't like the law/policy? Fix it, but don't be surprised when you're called out for breaking it. -
If a team took a run ... twice ... in one game ... at < one of our guys > in the manner of those two hits we'd be crying not for suspensions but crucifixions. Neither hit was good. One was clearly CFB/boarding and a major. The other was contact to the head with the shoulder which is major worthy. And in today's game if you get a major they are going to review it and if it just doesn't look good on YouTube you're getting a game suspension.

So, will NDSU then lower the amount of institutional support (university funds*) provided to athletics to align to peers as well? *I'm thinking the academic side of the shop could find good use for the funds.

Questioning is better than feeling betrayed I guess. Source: http://ndsuspectrum.com/athletics-returns-to-explain-student-fee-increase/

I thought how NDSU does things is the right way always. Why would they want to follow what others do with activity fee levels?

Sorry, but I'm going to repeat myself: it's a bird in a head dress. That'll never fly. Or else a parrot and a crow "got busy" ...

When I take over for Gary Bettman: A five minute sudden victory (<-- more PC ) overtime followed by a shoot-out (minimum three shooters). But all games are worth five points by my schedule above. You play to win the game ... and if you go to shootout you should be punished for not winning. Part of that punishment is giving points to teams you should've beat. (Think: conference/divisional standings impacts)

We've played whist and ended in a tie, so, we're going to play pinochle to declare a winner. Makes as much sense.

It's from Mafia's iPod.

Yup. The NCAA says one 5x5 OT "for the win" or else it's recorded as a tie. Anything beyond that is per league.
-
My solution: 5 points per game http://boardsroom.blogspot.com/2015/02/what-nchc-needs-to-change.html Here’s my proposal: 5 – Win in regulation time 4 – Win in overtime (not sure if single OT of 5x5 or 3x3) 3 – Win in a shootout 2 – Lose a shootout 1 – Lose in overtime 0 – Lose in regulation time

So, in the NE/DEN game, which team looked like it had the QB with the weak arm? I've never seen Brady under throw so many passes.
