World of hurt like Alaska. Best hope would be if LSS would stay with NMU and this new group needed a tenth. Rust Belt Hockey Conference: Miami, WMU, NMU, BGSU, RMU, RIT, Mercyhurst, Niagara ... and LSSU and UAH?
-
But I do believe ASU/MSU-M could drive Miami and WMU away to realign with BGSU and NMU. If they could pull in RIT, RMU, Niagara, and Mercyhurst they'd have eight teams. That would probably drive Bemidji and MTU to the NCHC and collapse the WCHA. (Yes, Alaska could be in a world of hurt.)

University of North Dakota Hockey 2016 - 2017 Season

Have we heard back from the Tri-Lateral Commission yet? Or do they have to have the %gobc sign off on their statement first? -
Scenario 1: Add ASU and MSU-M. I see that almost assuredly driving WMU and Miami away. What happens after that? Would the NCHC stay at eight? Would they go after < Bemidji, Tech, Air Force > to get back to 10? That' could collapse the WCHA and surely further wreck hockey in Alaska (beyond the current fiscal mess in the Land of Seward's Folly). Scenario 2: Add ASU and Bowling Green. This would make WMU and Miami happier. And honestly, MSU-M should be the annual favorite to be the WCHA representative in the NCAAs. Scenario 3: Add MSU-M and Bowling Green. Dear ASU, call us when you have it figured out. Scenario 4: Just ASU and run at nine. Scenario 5: Stay at eight and be done. Unfortunately, I see scenarios 1 and 2 are the most likely. I say "unfortunately" because those two damage the WCHA.

What the hell is the deal with ASU hockey

Uh, the phrase "Olympic" is normally reserved for college sports that don't have athletes move on to professional leagues. Yeah, I'm wordsmithing ... -

OK, you can find a photo of the 2015-16 hockey cheer team here. You can see the interlocked "ND" at center ice. You can also (almost kinda) see it already says "North Dakota Hockey" already. I'd guess there'll be pressure for the new logo. Now, for today's amazing stat: In the picture is ... Leigh Jeanotte's granddaughter. -
Chirping? From the catwalk? Who would do such a thing ...

I'd noticed that around parts of the state (Gwinner and Forman areas). And the westbound sign on I-94 for the ND 30 interchange is updated, but not when you're eastbound on I-94.

That billboard has said that since about February. I noticed it during the hockey season. -
Is this a sign that Jerry may be looking at retiring soon? Yes, a wild leap on my part, but something is different at Beantown College.

The fine lady from Killdeer with this petition has as much chance for success with that tactic as she would going outside and screaming at the sky to not drop 3" diameter hail on Killdeer ever again (as it did last night). -
The Mill is interested, as are other entities interested in other Minnkota properties that may become available as a part of Minnkota moving west of the I-29 truck stop.

It's a 60 oz mug of green beer left over from Mafia's St. Patrick's Day party. He just found it behind the empty bag of Cheetos at the end of the bar in his "man cave". Yes, he said "58"; he took a sip before he set it down four months ago; he took another sip just now when he found it, before deciding to sell it to all you suckers.

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/sports/college/iowa-state/randy-peterson/2016/07/05/peterson-column/86723254/ Bowlsby says "the top 80 or so". That aligns roughly to what Nick Saban and Karl Benson (SBC commish) were saying five years ago. Now this guy with this same smoke.

Plus, they got to hear (and see) feedback from people who really, truly do care. (If you're ripping on it, you do care*.) My guess is you'll see an outlined version where the N is cleaned up (to have an upper right feature) and the "D" has a center. My next guess is the hawk will be overlaid onto an outline of the State. (Note use of word "guess" twice; no inside knowledge here either.) *Remember, the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. -

Gee, reading all this I'm recalling words that some poster put out long ago. "Control what's yours to control." Instead, back then, folks were petulant in the belief that UND would defeat the NCAA when it was clear it was lost. Rather than making lemonade, many were holding onto lemon that they were sure would magically recast into daisies. And during that time, rather than taking control, the (long, overdone, but very visible) process went on without them. And now those same folks are sure they could've done better (name, logo). So where were they? Why didn't they engage in the process (be it more vocal during the voting, or getting their logo submitted when the process was in place for that) when they could be part of, engage, the process. Notice I didn't say control the process, because that was already long gone (see prior paragraph). Instead now we have folks who are sure they could do better. So where were they when it mattered? Why didn't those now wailing and gnashing teeth the loudest, when they still could, ... "Control what's yours to control." Now, after this diatribe of mine, I close with my most favorite phase. You see, "Control what's yours to control" is not my favorite phrase. My favorite phrase is: I. Told. You. So. -
