  1. And you don't see I'm joking (or do you really think Notre Dame fears his wrath)?
  2. You think I'm going to dig through 73 pages of PDF for those numbers? Uh, no. Revenues and expenses by sport are on two pages of the 73. Find the 73 page PDF and dig.
  3. What you want to know is (FY2016): WIH: -$1,919,980 MSD: -$266,763 WSD: -$589,140
  4. That wasn't the change.org petition; that was that someone saw YOUR name on it and immediately jumped to your whim to avoid facing your wrath. That or the DC at Notre Dame terrible and management fired him for cause.
  5. No Gracen, you'd have a footlong from Subway.
  6. I have acquired through unnamed sources the FY2016 revenue and expense statement to the NCAA that UND filed. I've been quoting numbers from previously acquired copies of the same but for FY2014 and FY2015. I'm pleased to report that the REA expense in FY2016 has been spread across MBB, WBB, MIH, WIH, VB, and Soc. It appears 1% was charged to Soccer; nominally 33% to users of the Betty (MBB, WBB, VB), 18% to WIH, and 48% to MIH. That's nominally a $1.16 million expense not footed by MIH; it added a (real) $398k expense to WIH.
  7. Change.org petitions and Twitter hashtag campaigns: hugely effective since ... never.
  8. That and $6 will get you a footlong at Subway (but only if I spot you the sales tax).
  9. So if Idalski can raise that kind of money it begs the question: Why hasn't he been doing it.
  10. Yes, there are 11 NDUS institutions and many of them should be shuttered; however, that said, it should be done because they are inefficient or their missions are anachronisms in today's world or it's right for the ND taxpayer, not to save some collegiate fun and games. Close an NDUS institution and it had better be for a greater good for the State, the entire State.
  11. Let me help folks understand how they made the choices. They made sure: - revenues and expenses (when they are in the Summit) match -- that's called "a balanced budget"; I know it's crazy-talk in some quarters - Title IX equity is met -- that's called "not losing in court" The Summit requires 85% or more funding of seven conference sports. UND wasn't doing that. They had to add scholarships to at least three sports to get to just that level. UND cut more than they had to so they were sure they could meet future obligations.
  12. Not that at all. Instead it is a polite, "You're screaming at gravity to quit pulling."
  13. UND is choosing to not engage. Why should they. Facts don't matter in the all emoting twitter-verse.
  14. Kennedy's response: Your concerns are duly noted. The decision is made.
  15. Did they forget to include page two of their letter outlining their fiscal plan to get the $2,000,000.00 annually with 4% annual increases to fund women's ice hockey? Must've. Surely they wouldn't have merely groused without a proposed solution. That approach was not what I was taught at UND. I was taught to point out a problem and have a proposed solution.
  16. If you want to fly you put Gersich with Hoff and Bowen.
  17. Because they needed to reallocate resources toward fully funding seven sports when they move to the Summit League. I'd recommend going to UNDSports.com and reading the full release. It spells it out reasonably well. http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=211538211
  18. I'm locked in to a 26-man roster mindset. That number is not an NCAA number; the NCAA number is 30-man roster max. Historically UND has gone with 26; even this year carrying 4 goalies they went 26 (and short a forward). I don't expect them to go over 26 in the current environment.
  19. Yeah. That guy. See. You knew.
  20. Should Chartrand depart, would they use that slot for another forward and go 16-7-3? I say that because Dixon Bowen played a lot of defense in Pentiction. He'd be the insurance against injury if they ran just 7 D for a season. Decisions, decisions.
  21. The guy that left and went to WMU. You know. That guy.
  22. That said, which sophs fall into that category? F Gornall F Wilke D Chartrand G Tomek G Anderson
  23. Historically, low minutes sophomores don't return. One notable exception was Colton Sanderson. One obvious example was Wade Murphy. "Jim" going to Vermont is another.
  24. Channeling the upcoming Olympics as well.
  25. No. I'm not saying that. The SC Times guy is saying the closest games to fill their schedule are in St. Louis. You may infer from him what you please.
