    I'm saying "change of possession" because a "voluntarily give up control" scenario is a shot. Say it's a line rush and it's the ol' shoot it off the far pad as a pass to the other wing play. You voluntarily gave up possession, but that shouldn't count.

    It really has to hurt the RPI guys in the NY Capital District to see their Route 7 rivals Union College doing as well as they are while RPI Hockey degrades. RPI won NCAA DI titles in 1954 and 1985.

    Honestly, I don't see a great deal of "grave dancing". What I do see is a great deal of purely emotional response to the decisions. And many people trying to point out the harsh economic realities that were the basis of the decisions.

    I'm assuming this is WIH, MSD, and WSD combined. If my assumption is correct, the term "operating revenue" is a misnomer*. Some of it is true revenue (WIH ticket sales) but the vast majority is "subsidy" meaning discretionary University funds (state dollars) transferred to Athletics or student fees aimed toward Athletics and then parsed out to the various line item programs. *The term is a misnomer as used almost everywhere.
