Unless something changes significantly from now to season's end, I believe we'll have final evidence that Bubba is at his ceiling. If he loves the program as much as he says he'll step away to a "Bill Walsh" role. It's no disrespect or dishonor. It's no different that RT stepping out for Dale to carry on.

The Conference Center was in disrepair (bad windows, leaky roof) in the late 1980s. An empty lot looks better. If Delta Tau Delta wanted to rebuild on that lot (presently next door) that'd be fine also. That's a fast busy intersection; getting the house away from it even 80 feet wouldn't be bad.

Our offensive line has improved; it still needs to get better. Our defensive line has improved; it still needs to get better. Forget everything else from Saturday: SDSU controlled, owned, scrimmage. Until someone can match the SDSU fronts they're going to control games. That is the single take-away from Saturday for the rest of this season and next.

If I could make one change right now I'd bring in Dale Lennon (interim) to light a fire. The SD schools* have figured it out: Punch NDSU in the mouth first and you'll win. Not sure Bubba has that mindset. Dale did. *One in Frisco; one Saturday.
