We played three quarter games at Fresno State, San Diego State, Texas Tech, and Nebraska. That's been the on-going DI era pattern. Let's hope the latest lesson (Nebraska) and a better, deeper roster, and knowledge of this pattern, gets us to playing a four quarter game.

2023 National Championship Game: Quinnipiac vs. Minnesota
The Sicatoka replied to Kevin G's topic in Men's Hockey
Minnesota led 2-1 with under 3 to play. We all remember OT but that has to sting as much. ESPNU replaying the game right now. -
Some light reading (courtesy KVRR TV Fargo) while you wait for Friday's BCI/FBI press conference. https://www.kvrr.com/tag/shooting/ https://www.kvrr.com/tag/murder/ This is apparently "none of the above". https://www.valleynewslive.com/2023/07/14/fargo-man-arrested-attempted-murder-allegedly-attacking-another-man/

What was in the vehicle seems more than a one person plan.

I heard the same; however, the chief is there. I changed my post. Yes, the officer took a shot that disabled the long rifle. It is amazing; but, that's called great fortune (also known as lucky shot that missed center of mass).

Shoot. Missed opportunity. And with a roof it'd have to be cooler than outside in August. https://morrisvillemustangs.com/news/2023/7/18/general-suny-morrisville-unveils-black-turf-at-stadium.aspx

So we continue to learn more about the good guys than the bad guys. What don't they want to tell the public. https://www.wdayradionow.com/news/local-news/66383-investigators-to-share-more-information-regarding-officer-use-of-force-from Note: I removed the name of the officer who stopped the shooter from my post not as disrespect but because I believe by naming him he's been further endangered. I will not follow that pattern.

HEY! Their long rumored Sonic came true! (Get the app for half price strawberry limeade. Top shelf! Worth the stop when driving through.)

If you think of UST as another MIAC school, you won't understand. Best thing that happened to UST is the MIAC kicked them out for being ... too good and too rich. UST has long been a sleeping giant. It woke them up. UST's comparable in the NCHC is ... Denver (about 10k students; over $650M endowment).

The label, is it more of a "funding" or what teams can and can not do thing?

The BSU plan is: roll the dice and maybe get six successive home game wins for $125 ... So Boise fans will be getting UCF plus one game for $125. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2023/07/17/boise-state-football-ticket-promotion-2023-home-opener/70422750007/

At risk of repeating myself and being wrong*, but I don't buy it. *well experienced at both

Thank you for the clarification. Yes, I do haunt there but I do my best to be a "good guest" in their house (just as I ask of guests from there here), namely respectful and factual; however the factual does not always make me well received.

Recruits know they are told lots of "happy words" (hypotheticals); press reports and news releases, a school publicly going on the record, giving substance to the claims, changes the conversation. But yes, when this became public, your eyes do not deceive: things changed.

Please link to what I posted on B'ville on topic. (Hint: I've said nothing there on topic.) PS - A former FBI agent assigned to ND and NW MN, a friend, she agrees with me that the officer that ended the situation should not have been identified by name or photo. PPS - "Need to know" has been used in place of "don't know" or "too scary to admit" too often. See: Vegas Route 91.

Everything you need to know can be learned by watching that presser with the sound off and observing the Mayor and the lieutenants eyes and body language. The Mayor had enough at one point and moved the chief from the podium so he could say what needed be said to a tense city. Disclaimer: I'm old school. I wanted a fire and brimstone "this will not stand in our city" chief, angry at an officer being taken. Let the mayor lead the city in grieving.

Seeing FPD and FFD responding to a two-car crash spooks him? This doesn't flow. The accident was over a mile from downtown street fair. Why stop for that when there's a different (alleged) plan.

Link please, because I keep looking and I don't see them talking about anything that may shine poorly on Fargo and indirectly NDSU.

Schafer (bump, set) and Kennedy (spike) not being academics, but business minds, was the right combo at the right time. They took half a billion dollars of deferred maintenance off the books by making logical (not emotional) calls about facilities and infrastructure (new steam plant). The books are better and the looks (around campus) are better. When it comes to internal fiscal management, all schools should be so fortunate.
