  1. I'll let Bison fans explain DI v. DII to you. Until then, a primer: 7 DI titles v. 1 DII title. And UND at UNO should be epic.
  2. The "quick and dirty" press release from the AG's office. http://www.ag.state.nd.us/documents/10-06-06.pdf
  3. Because there wouldn't be any doctors or lawyers in Fargo otherwise?
  4. (sniff) (sniff) (s-s-s-s-sniff) I love the smell of lawsuit in the morning.
  5. Psssst ..... UMass Minutemen Tennessee Volunteers North Carolina Tar Heels (reference to an NC Civil War unit)
  6. http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/i...mp;section=News http://www.nsopr.gov/ The Fighting Sioux never forget.
  7. Hockey and football both? PS - I'll live with the straight stripe if you sell it to me as "true to tradition". PPS - Would we need to start refering to UND Aerospace as "The Air Cavalry"? PPPS - The "Vegas" Gold is a nice touch also.
  8. If that's the case, why do conferences have you fill out informational reports and do campus visits? Then why bother being the best you can? Didn't you just say that doesn't matter? Something doesn't add up there.
  9. The stripe on the pant leg needs to be modified so it looks like a scabbard along the leg.
  10. Moniker opponents not worrying about tactics and appropriate processes used and just worrying about getting "the result they wanted"? Say it ain't so. Who-da thunk? Any thoughts on this "Sioux-cia"? I believe, ladies and gentlemen, this is the theme continually espoused in UND appeals and it will continue when the Attorney General begins the "appeal" in the courts.
  11. Anyone have the numbers on what it cost to own and operate Hyslop (as BB/VB home) and old REA (as hockey home)? I ask because $250k + (12 * $6500) = $328k. That doesn't sound like a lot of money to run two buildings of those sizes. (Staff, maintenance, utilities.) Is it because old REA and Hyslop were State owned and thus operational costs for them came from the general university facilities budget and not athletics? (Last note: Maybe it's me, but $328k doesn't sound like a lot of money to play and practice five teams (M/W BB, M/W Hockey, VB), and house soccer, in a facility like Engelstad Arena.)
  12. Cops report their official activities to Apu at the QuickieMart?
  13. Did I mention Grand Forks in the question? Answer the question: Did UNC's proximity to the Denver media market, and their agreements with various media outlets, (a) lend to, or (b) detract from UNC's chances of entrance to the Big Sky Conference?
  14. Q: Did UNC's proximity to the Denver media market, and their agreements with various media outlets, (a) lend to, or (b) detract from UNC's chances of entrance to the Big Sky Conference?
  15. Last time I looked (may not be 100% accurate), this is the structure that controls REA (board members listed with each): I struggle to even try to believe that Earl Strinden and Tom Clifford (much less Bob Gallager(!) and Aron Anderson) are out to "get" UND. Is the agreement perfect? Can't be. Great? Probably not. Does The Betty debt need to be paid off to free cash-flow for a DI move? "Nobody knows everything."

  17. All Coach Glas ever described Beasley as is "really laid back". Something must have been really wrong in how all that played out.
  18. What kind of fool trash-talks like that to a wide-bodied 6'9" guy?
  19. Goldie shows excellent form with that.
  20. They are. They just put the bulls-eye on UND's back. See?
  21. Here's what caught my eye in the 2004-05 NCAA manual: So now that DI-A is a 12 game schedule, that means: - must play 8 games v. DI-A (7 is only 58%) -- five DI-A games must be at home To get a DI-A to play at your place you probably have to return the favor to them at some point. Look at a conference like the Big Ten (which seems to be playing a lot of DI-A MAC teams this year): - 4 H/4 R conference games - have to schedule another DI-A home game - have to compensate the DI-A you visited last year That "five regular season home games against Division I-A opponents" seems like it's going to force some DI-As to play other DI-As rather than DI-AAs in the future. That probably spells fewer "money date" opportunities for DI-AAs down the road.
  22. Kick-off by 2008. Full-boat target value by 2012 (see link). Would I get 20 tickets to a football game against Valparaiso with that?
  23. From: http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/i...mp;section=News So "within the next four years" the soccer field on the Bronson property will become a School of Medicine research building. Where would soccer play then? Or will the athletic facilities plan UND is working on (that should be out yet this fall) answer that for us. We live in interesting times.
