The guy who takes the "W" from the game for his team.

Doesn't the property run all the way from the Wellness Center (in the SW) to the corner of Gateway and Columbia (in the NE)?

UND last week -- Freshmen, NHL ice, veteran Maine team running the trap, made for a fast-paced, not time to think game: The lads looked like the game was going a million miles per hour to them because they were constantly being pushed and pressured. UND this week -- Freshmen, Olympic ice (like Wisconsin), youngish Mankato team, not normally a "trapper", more time and space: I'm hoping for more of a "like in Wisconsin" performance.

The post in question.

Hoosier and Cracker are synonyms in their origin. Hear "Hoosier", think "Cracker". Ms. Westerhaus gets away with "Cracker". So does Indiana. Indiana "Hoosiers" is Indiana "Crackers" is Indiana "poor white farmers". Indiana should be subject to the moniker ban (for its race-based moniker).

The Indiana University Crackers? No, no. Hoosiers. What's a "Hoosier"? So

There's the answer I'm looking for. Any new legislation has to be approved by the total membership by a 2/3 super-majority vote. (See both Complaint and Brief for the Req. for Temp. Injunction.) You telling me that every school doesn't have some skeleton in the closet? "Model institution" Wisconsin got an "F" from the Black Coaches Association for its hiring practices and procedures. "Model institution" Iowa (football) and UM-Duluth (hockey) have pink visitor's locker rooms (anti-homosexual bias?). And all those "Devils" at DePaul, Duke, Arizona State .... Any one of those could easily be the next target in this NCAA Executive Committee "catalyst for social change" jihad. If you're a school and believe you're as pure as the driven snow, and will never be the target of the political 'fad de jour', vote for this; if you're sure that your ox will never be the next to be gored, vote "yes". But also remember that that "yes" vote may have created some new "non-allies" and that you could be wrong and could be the next target; What is it folks say about "payback" .... (I won't even get into the discussion of individual institutional control that the NCAA claims to cherish.) So is the check.

"Why even have polls?" To fill empty space and to use as a source of controversy to fill even more empty space. It's working here. At risk of repeating myself: The only 'poll' that matters is the 'pole' you raise a championship banner on.

In the event of a UND win, how does UND get a decision from an ND court enforced in Florence, AL, or St. Louis, MO, or Indianapolis, IN, or anywhere else not in ND? North Dakota laws or court rulings have no jurisdiction outside of North Dakota.
-
Is it safe to assume that no matter what happens in ND District Court the decision will be appealed by one side or the other (probably first to the ND Supreme Court, and then probably to the Federal court system)?

NCAA serious about I-A attendance requirements?

The two-for-ones count as "paid attendance." And since when is a fact a "shot"? -
C'mon, it's faster than that.

You're assuming the students wouldn't be asked to vote on this for themselves. They did vote themselves the fee increase for the Wellness Center. If it's important to them they'll vote accordingly.

I assume you all understand that "Seminole" loosely translated means "Unconquered".

Your favorite town in North Dakota

Grand Forks pre-flood is a city that was well situated to look at its glorious past, and slide away into oblivion. Grand Forks post-flood is a city that finally realized what it can accomplish when challenged, and is finally believing in itself and reaching for more. The city lost some irreplacable things; the city didn't have an easy experience; which city is better? Grand Forks post flood. -
Ev'ry where I go, from 'lerus to REA, It's Sica, "Go!", Sicatoka, "Yo Yo!", and then the Sioux go out and play. You can't touch this. (slide-shuffles off) Now there friends is a Halloween nightmare.

Does the WCC want to leave the Pacific time zone and cross the Rockies? Travel, right?

Be happy: I could've started rapping again.

No, more like the "Cowardly Lion" from Oz. Ask PCM. He'll explain.

I guess you need to know a word's pedigree.

Is UMD still running that modified "run and shoot" or is that gone to Mankato?

NCAA serious about I-A attendance requirements?
The Sicatoka replied to jimdahl's topic in NCAA News
A friend rolled this thought out to me: If the NCAA is "all about the student-athlete" (hold down the laughter) why does the number of fans in the stands matter at all? Shouldn't the NCAA be most interested in getting maximum benefit to student-athletes (85 football scholarships plus the other required scholarships for DI-A) rather than how many people are in the stands? If a school has the money to fund DI-A (say they had a major benefactor or endowment), and as long as student-athletes benefitted from the scholarships, why would it matter if the school played in front of even an empty grandstand? Or is the NCAA really not all about the student-athlete?
