What do NCAA sanction mean to Penn State Hockey future?
The Sicatoka replied to CMSioux's topic in Non-collegiate sports
C'mon folks. Any place that will let Jerry Sandusky be a predator for a decade has to have some "Enron accountants" around to make things "look right" too. (That's the beauty of the Penn State situation: They've proven to be untrustworthy so we can freely assume the worst of them. ) -
Walk into a bar on a Saturday afternoon or evening in small town ND in Sep/Oct/Nov and what's on the televisions? ESPN college game. ABC national college game. Maybe the SEC game on CBS. Sometimes Notre Dame on NBC. And maybe one set will have NDSU or even sometimes (gasp!) UND football. Walk into a bar on a Friday or Saturday night in small town ND from Oct to Mar and what's on the televisions? UND hockey. And it doesn't always have to be small town ND, just some town in ND.

For some reason I just like this smilie. Maybe it's the action. Maybe it's the color scheme. Maybe it's the combination of both. Your thoughts, Johnboy?

There's a difference between having your name on everything in sight and being a world-regarded medical institution. Signed, The Mayo Brothers -

Is Sanford going to put their name on everything? -
Part of me wonders if they aren't holding off on filing petitions because they didn't get the signatures (about 27000) to file for November.

Spirit Lake Tribe Files Appeal In Lawsuit Against The NCAA
The Sicatoka replied to Goon's topic in UND Nickname
Well, we won't be looking at a state constitutional amendment vote in November. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/370087/group/homepage/ -
I tend to read Alumni Review magazine (and the UND Foundation annual statements) with an eye for names I recognize.

When did Mr. Obama play hockey for UND? The "former players" thread has returned to that discussion. Thank you. (And yes, before anyone says it, I'm guilty for a portion of the derailment.)

OK. There's the request. And a political link (which is against the forum rules). Folks, back on subject. Only warning. Signed, The Management

How quickly they forget the words "NAIA Montana Tech".

The problem it is this: That it exists at all. The US is not developing enough home-grown, US citizen, STEM graduates to fill the demand of US business and industry. This is undermining our technological and economic advantages in the world. (The H1B was created so US business could fill those high-paying positions with non-US citizens.) All the US seems to develop lately is ... lawyers. STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math

Looker? Have you heard him do the womens games? Maybe I'm spoiled by years and years of Hennessy, but ... pass. I can honestly say I missed Dan Hammer doing UND Football. I'm glad he's back.

Math. Physics. And yeah, engineers.

It is a work visa for workers with technical skills. No, didn't search it and no, not an attorney. If you took the majority of your classes in Upson, Witmer, and Harrington, tests normally were about taking the concepts and principles you were to learn and applying them to problems you hadn't seen or considered before.

And NDSU was better in MBB and VB last year too ... oh, wait ... The better question is "why no football".

In my perfect world the western route that is today I-94 (and was US-10) would run where ND 200 runs today and North Dakota would have two universities: one at Mayville and one at Washburn. Of course, in that scenario Washburn would be "Mino-marck" and Mayville would be "Grand-go". But we don't live in a perfect world. We live in this hyper-policized mess.

And if they aren't playing well? Too easy.

Everyone needs an editor.

UMary (a Catholic university) may soon get even more "swing" in Bismarck. I'm hearing rumors that the Catholic Church may go to one diocese for all of ND and it would be headquartered in Bismarck.

Appears SDSU has made a leap forward on their plans for an indoor facility. http://www.argusleader.com/article/20120803/UPDATES/120803003/Sanford-gifts-10M-SDSU-new-campus-facilities?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Ctext%7CHome&gcheck=1&nclick_check=1

That is pretty sweet video. I see something different in it every time I watch it.

Montana's transfer has as many collegiate passing attempts as Bartels or Mollberg.
