Green Guy 1
I was noticing that our team does not have anyone with a big head of hair, so I was wondering does dean have a policy for that?
kr
I don't know what/if CB has a policy, however, during the UMD series I believe Tim H. commented that he was surprised that Scott Sandelin allowed players to have flowing hair (ie Caig) since CB was not too supportive of that kind of look. (the comment was something to that effect)
Goon
If you notice all of UND hockey players have hair that is short. I am sure coach must have a policy that stats that. I think Denver was a shaggy looking bunch...
Snake
If there is a policy, it must only involve mullets, because I can still picture Commie's hair sticking out the ear hole of his helmet a couple of years back!! That was a sweet 'doo.
DAR
I also seem to remember that Adam Calder had quite long hair when he was a member of the Sioux as well, but nothing topped the year that Commodore wore the "fro"!
Diggler
Who was gonna tell Commie he had to cut the clown hair? I sure wouldn't want to have to do that.
PCM
Who was gonna tell Commie he had to cut the clown hair? I sure wouldn't want to have to do that. Actually, by the time of the 2000 Frozen Four, all the players had haircuts -- even Commie. Despite that, I do remember Tim O'Connell's hair being a bit on the long side. Goon
I think for the most part short hair is like in right now... I just think the Denver team looked kind of scrubby with their hair hanging all over the place... I like the fact that UND looks like professionals on and off the ice... schmidtdoggydog
During the '97 championship season when Blais was coach, Jeff Ulmer did not cut his hair once during the season and grew quite a mop. When interviewed after the big game he said he was almost as excited about getting a haircut as he was about winning the championship. airmail
Besides that, I believe that would be a form of discrimination. That may be the case, but Dean's players aren't part of a democracy. It's a dictatorship.

Well, I can tell if a guys got a cute butt even through the pads! Like David Lundbohm !! But I will say their butts look better without pads!! Sioux1
I believe that CB strongly suggests the boys maintain a clean cut look because it looks more professional on and off the ice.

TheFarce
Speaking of hair. Did anyone see the kid in the Minnesota high School Tourney from St Louis Park that they called Afro Thunder. 6'5" and could be spotted by th trail of bodies in his wake. I think his name was Olgie Olglethorpe.
Rick
There really isn't a set policy on it and I'm quite sure Blaiser has never told a kid to cut his hair. The Captains take care of most of the player issues on this type of thing. They know how the Coach wants the team to present themselves and in the case of a players hair, if it starts to get too long, I suspect the Captains would talk to the kid. I doubt Blaiser would have to even mention it to the Captains. I know other teams have dress-code rules for traveling. Many of them have to wear a coat and tie. When the Sioux travel, they typically wear their green UND Hockey jump suits/sweat pants and jacket (whatever they're called). I'm sure they're more comfortable traveling that way.
