  1. I am going to be in Fargo this weekend. Can anyone tell me if the game is on their or who might be able to get it?
  2. ZeroPepperoni rates right up there with those no talent a$$ clowns from FOX Minnesota.
  3. It wouldn't surprise me if thay hang a banner in honer of it.
  4. Did we outshoot (play) them?
  5. General admission tickets go on sale Monday, December 29th for the SCSU/UND men's hockey game at 9:00 am. 1-877-SCSUTIX or your local ticket master.
  6. OK. Hard work and putting the puck on the net will pay off, but I would say lucky goal before I say amazing goal.
  7. Very stupid and dangerous. I seriously hope that REA is not allowing this. This is the sort of things that people die doing. Even if it is full gear and there are medical professionals on hand the numbers of peole that are getting f---ed up doing this is alarming. Let the Canadiens keep it for their second native sport, we don't need it.

    BADgers

I have seen them play six times this year and I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but there is not a weak team in this conferance contrary to belief. Take your homer glasses off and look objectively at all the teams in the WCHA this year and prove me wrong. Wisconsin is the real deal. They may not be the best team, but they are a young team that doesn't know that they are good or bad which makes them more dangerous than any good team. Just when you you think you rolled them up they come back and take the points right out from under you. Ask Minnesota and St Cloud about this. I am sure they thought they had it in the bag. To think that this task is going to be any easier when the the Sioux travel to Madtown (not to mention the Badgers might be in a position to take the title) is thinking with your heart not reality. Here is something else to think about if the their are weak teams in the WCHA. If the season ended today we would be facing the Gophers (all be it at home) in the first round of the playoffs. Is that the weak match up that you are all looking for to contribute to the Sioux qualifying for the NCAA tourney. DO NOT take any team in this league lightly and don't be suprised to see three teams in the six or lower seeds make it to the final five.
  9. I like all the points brought up. Here is a different way of looking at the question. Most of you say you prefer the college game over the pros. I would guess a good number of you have the opportunity to watch the Sioux whether in person or on tv/satelite. The hidden message I seem to be hearing is that you prefer the college game because it is the Sioux that you are watching play everyone else. So is it more exciting to watch Bemidji State vs. Alabama- Huntsville or the Wild play Detroit?
  10. I agree with dogs (Did I just say that). If anything there is more parity in the WCHA than any league and I would say easily the toughest conference. I have stated on this post and others that the biggest competition the Sioux will have this year is not so much the other team, but taking the other team lightly. Every Sioux fan wants to think that teams like AA and Michigan Tech are cupcake, but go out and look at those teams stats and what they have done to the so called better teams in the WCHA. They have played them tough and been in just about everygame. You may call it clutch and grab, but I call it different styles that give you the WIN!
  11. However, you can't score if you don't shoot. This team has been guilty of moving the puck a little too much and not pulling the trigger on the pp.
  12. Denver sweeps St Cloud. You can always tell when it is getting close to CHristmas for St. CLoud
  13. I said playoffs, not regular season. We all no the dogs got screwed last year, but had they made it through into the NCAA PLAYOFFS, they may have one it all as well! :
  14. The true hockey fan would tell you that the game is as exciting as your ties to the sport. Watching a field of mini-mites follow the puck around the ice like a swarm of killer bees can be just as entertaining as any level that you might watch if you truely appreciate the game. To say one level of the sport is better than any other lacks true understanding because they all bring their unique qualities. College has the up and coming players and brings school spirit into the mix. However, each game is not as important as someone mentioned earlier. Todays college playoff system is designed to reward the team that peaks at the end of the year with the national championship ie. Gophers. The pro game is much more physical and a hell of a lot faster with a playoff system that becomes more gueling than the 80 game schedule. Bottom line "If you love the game, you need to appreciate all levels that play the game because it is the determination of the players to make it to the pros that bring you the quality college team that you enjoy watching."
