siouxforeverbaby
YEA!, Congrats to him, and I noticed that Brian was nominated under Defensive. Not that nominated means a whole lot, but still cool.

spfreak
Hopefully the first of many to come for Brad. It would help for him to keep up this pace of production as well.

Goon
It was just like a few us thought it would be, that they would have to give an award to Kyle Okposo who got rookie of the week. To Brad Miller as the co-offensive player of the week. I still think Lee should have been the Defensive player of the week. Scoring like 4 assists in the Saturday game. redwing77
Congrats Brad. Can't really argue with any of the selections this week. Didn't notice Shelast when I did my "unofficial" tally. I figured Goligoski would get the nod over Lee even though both had the same point total for the weekend. Variety is the key. And why be disgusted by Okposo's selection? He scored a lot for a freshman this weekend. Seemed like a no brainer to me.

dagies
Congratulations, Mr. Miller. Might be the M.I.P. so far this year.

Maybe if you're part of the PK unit that blanks the other team on 10 tries for the weekend your case is a little stronger than if you are part of the PK unit that killed only about 50% of the opportunities (just guessing at the %, but you get my point). I don't think DPotW is necessarily an offensive award.

The Sicatoka
Miller winning it this week, eh, nothing special. I'm sure lots of guys from Georgia have won it. Hey, Kozek, Watkins, take note from Brad. Your turns are next. Get on it.

TH was saying Kozek was fabulous last Saturday.

dagies
After watching Friday's game, we didn't think Kozek deserved to stay on a top line. We thought he wasn't helping the play of the whole line, and seemed to need to get the puck in space in order to get a shot off. He wasn't creating for his linemates, and he wasn't getting open where he could receive the puck and do anything with it. We were thinking he might be better off on the PP and on a lower line where he may not be matched against the opponents better players, which might allow him more freedom. Apparently Hak had a secret microphone in our car because lo and behold here comes Saturday night, and Kozek looked better and certainly produced. I'm not saying we're geniuses. Just lucky at guessing once. Just saying that IMO he didn't have a great game on Friday, but he did rebound well on Sat. And it could be that's what TH was talking about. 1st or 3rd line, we will need Kozek to produce like it's Saturday night, every night.
