USA Hockey Posted March 31, 2007 Share Posted March 31, 2007 Even though he hasn't committed, after 4 games David Toews is currently the leading scorer at the USA Hockey Tier I 18U National Championships, he has 7 points in 4 games. Yeah, Jon does play here. Yeah, it's closer to Winnipeg. Yeah, UND would be an awesome fit. But, that doesn't guarantee he'll come here. Maybe I'm missing something...? I think he is waiting until after the season. This happens with a number of recruits (Nash, Ness, Gleason, etc.) because their focus is on what they are doing now and not on their future. Shattuck plays Cape Cod today for the USA Hockey TI 18U National Championship at 5:15. Toews is currently the leading points scorer for Shattuck with 8 points in 5 games. Wow, Toews has really distinguished himself in the second half, and Novotny seems to be coming on. I'm not the thread police, but these are prospective recruits so I would like to see them in this thread, but they are not there yet. Would be cool to have A Toews as a Senior and one as a Freshman in two years. Not gonna happen though. EDIT: I was looking at the 05 06 stats so we could have both Toews next year.
