Big A HG Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Burned our goalie. Didn't catch that the first time...not sure if this is a good thing that Frattin scored...or a bad thing that it was Eidsness that gave it up! Haha Quote

USA Hockey Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Even though he hasn't committed, after 4 games David Toews is currently the leading scorer at the USA Hockey Tier I 18U National Championships, he has 7 points in 4 games. Novotny is the second leading scorer on Shattuck with 5 points in 4 games. Quote

USA Hockey Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Correct, he is uncommitted. He would either be an 08 or 09 wherever he goes. Quote
Big A HG Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Since, as far as I know, David Toews isn't even a verbal commitment yet, how sure can we be that he'll want to play for the Sioux? Yeah, Jon does play here. Yeah, it's closer to Winnipeg. Yeah, UND would be an awesome fit. But, that doesn't guarantee he'll come here. Maybe I'm missing something...? Quote

I think he is waiting until after the season. This happens with a number of recruits (Nash, Ness, Gleason, etc.) because their focus is on what they are doing now and not on their future. Similar to the players mentioned above, I think you will see a commitment after Shattuck's season. Quote

USA Hockey Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I figured I would put this in committed recruits because Blood is already committed and hopefully Toews will soon. Shattuck plays Cape Cod today for the USA Hockey TI 18U National Championship at 5:15. Toews is currently the leading points scorer for Shattuck with 8 points in 5 games. If you're really bored, you can listen to the game, here is the link http://www.usahockey.com/2007_nationals/ma...ain/audiocasts/ Quote
USA Hockey Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Correction on the game time, it is 4:15 central time. Also, Malone played well last night with 2 goals and an assist in his teams win. Quote
USA Hockey Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Blood with a goal and Toews with two assists today as Shattuck won the national championship 5-2. Toews finished out the tourney as the leading scorer with 10 points in 6 games. Novotny was second on the team in scoring with 8 points in 6 games and Murray was third with 6 points in 6 games. Quote

Wow, Toews has really distinguished himself in the second half, and Novotny seems to be coming on. I'm not the thread police, but these are prospective recruits so I would like to see them in this thread, but they are not there yet. Quote

USA Hockey Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Well I figured I would put it in here because it is an "update" on Blood and since Toews is very likely to come here. Quote

Chuck Schwartz Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Looks like Shattuck could be quite dominant next season if they can keep their juniors there. Sounds like Montpetit might end up in Waterloo next season though. Quote
siouxnami Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Penticton who have been dominant all season, got shelled by Vernon 8-0 yesterday and are now down 3-1. Evan Trupp did not play again. Very concerning... Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Did anyone get any new info regarding Trupp's medical condition? Quote

siouxnami Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Nice to see: In game 1 of the AJHL Championship Matt Frattin with the game winner. Clutch... http://www.ajhl.ab.ca/leagues/hockey_boxSc...p;gameID=421050 Quote
Siouxfan_inDenver Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Wow, just looked up Toews stats on www.s-sm.com it looks like the kid can creats some offense. Would be cool to have A Toews as a Senior and one as a Freshman in two years. Not gonna happen though. EDIT: I was looking at the 05 06 stats so we could have both Toews next year. Quote
