forecheck
So what's it gonna take to get some company to make a Holy Cross hockey jersey now? Maybe if we get a big enough group order. I would be interested in buying one, which would definitely be making appearances at Gopher games in the future! I would like to echo everybody else's sentiments about the highlights. I got excited just listening to the announcers naked enthusiasm. Once the game winning goal was scored, it was like they completely forgot about their job and just got caught up in the game....sounds like me at the World Juniors, right PCM. If the HC guys are out there, you DEFINITELY have doubled (tripled? quadrupled?) your fan base overnight.

I didn't hear any of the Holy Cross sportscasters screaming, "I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABY, DREW!" Other than that, there were a lot of similarities. Are you still hiding from the Belarus coach? PCM
I want something with the Holy Cross logo on it. It's cool! I wonder if anyone from the NCAA noticed that the Fighting Sioux vs. the Crusaders was one of the most politically incorrect matchups of all time? LadyDy
Oh my gosh - I just listened to that audio clip. I can't even describe the emotion you feel listening to it again. I had tears in my eyes but I was laughing. I too have another favorite team to root for now. I wish I would have bought a Holy Cross t-shirt at the West Regionals. That was the most fun I have had in Engelstad Arena. After the HC/Goopher game we all said we already got our money's worth out of the tickets. Thanks Holy Cross for the great hockey memory and for the kind words about our arena and fans. It would be good to see some of you in Milwaukee next weekend - hop on a bus and come on over to Wisco!! kfah1
That broadcast was one of the most memorable I've heard. The announcers were fair, complimentary and a joy to listen to. An example for other broadcasters... Great stuff! Good game!
forecheck
So far it sounds like 9 people would like to order a Holy Cross jersey. I emailed the bookstore that someone put a link to on here, and this is the reply I received today. "Hello Nicole, Our Hockey team took us alittle off guard this season.......we carry a Holy Cross Hockey Tshirt and a puck in our on-line catalog but not a replica jersey. I also will have in within 3 weeks a post season hockey tshirt with a different logo on it! I am looking inot this now and have found that such a jersey will take up to 3-6 months for production. One we ge this item in we will display it for sale on our website." Linda C. Paquette Merchandise Specialist C.H.C. Bookstore College of the Holy Cross P.O. I told this lady we would like the jerseys in time to flaunt them at future Gopher games next season! Sounds like the majority of their own fan base doesn't expect much from them. Yes, the upset of Minnesota was huge, but they did make it to the regionals two years ago, and this years team boasted 12 players from that team. You would think they would think they had a good chance at making the regionals again. However, I suppose no one expected 27 wins from the HC hockey team. Sioux-cia
GREAT clip. It took me a while to get it figured out so I can hear it (I felt like the forgotten step child). I'm gonna make a Holy Cross helmut, flowing plume and all, and wear it when we play the Gophers.
DIEHARD SIOUX FAN
Don't feel bad Sioux-cia it took me ahwile to figure it out too. I'm a baby boomer so not real good at all this computer stuff. I sent the radio station my comments on the game and the audio mix and got the most gracious, and prompt reply. College hockey is the best! Go, Crusaders, Go! Sioux Fans - Inspired by the continued steady flow of e-mail responses about the highlight clip (and now the full game audio), I though it was appropriate to discuss SiouxSports.com today on WCHC. We have added to the WCHC hockey page a link to a recording of that discussion. The clip comes straight form the talk show that I host weekly along with Christian Santillo, Brian Viola and Kyle McCarthy. Kyle was one of the broadcasters who traveled to Grand Forks, and the rest of us provided pregame and postgame studio commentary. If you wish to listen to our "Thank You to Sioux Fans", here's the link again... http://college.holycross.edu/wchc/hockey.htm From everyone here at Holy Cross, once again, thanks so much!
