Many years this Thursday and Friday are the best sports days of the year, with most every game a nail-biter.  

This year not so much.

Not as bad as 2023, but with Hockey East being so down and ECAC being pretty meh besides Quinnipiac meant B1G and NCHC were going to be quite favored

Yeah, he doesn't watch much NCAA in general besides some Hockey East and maybe an occasional B1G game. He's only watching the NHL most weeks

Not that surprising. The 2 best Eastern teams played each other in the 1st round and the one with 3 of the best freshmen producers (Wyttenbach, Verreault, Vidicek) is the one still alive

Do we consider Penn State "Eastern" when they play in a Central/Western conference? They don't really fit the geographic description of being Eastern, Central, or Western tbh

Penn State is very much an eastern school given the student body and alumni base. That's like saying Syracuse isn't a northeastern school because they play in a basketball conference with a lot of southern teams.

When the East and West All-America teams are voted on, they include all of the Big Ten as West (also NCHC and CCHA) and the other 3 conferences as East.  So I've thought of them as West.

Aggregate scores so far:  Big Ten 12-3.  NCHC 11-1. 

My bracket is very happy, since I picked West over East in all my matchups.

Nope, the arena in Iowa City might be open soon with the Heartlanders taking a year off to restructure. There is the new talk about an arena getting built in Champaign again.
