Wild D has some work to do.  Looked like a damn video game out there with both teams making great and absolutely horrible plays.  The guys during the intermission said it looked like October hockey; I have to agree.

The guy wearing the C was a -3. He looked totally outta place. Middleton as well.

They both were not good. Wallstedt was left out to dry more than once. Missing Brodin and Ek shouldn’t make that much different. Wild couldn’t slow them down at all especially through the neutral zone. Be interesting to see what changes Hynes makes for game 2

Middleton was a turnover machine in his own end.  I lost count of how many times Minny just tried throwing the puck up ice to try clear the zone and it ended up on a Colorado stick.

The Minnesota Wild are making a goalie change for Tuesday's Game 2 against the Colorado Avalanche.

Filip Gustavsson will get the nod in lieu of Jesper Wallstedt, head coach John Hynes announced, per The Athletic's Michael Russo.

Wallstedt was excellent in Round 1 against the Dallas Stars, posting a .924 save percentage while starting all six games in the series. However, he was lit up for eight goals on 42 shots in a 9-6 loss to the Avalanche in Game 1 of the second round
