Okposo wasn't playing or working hard. He was pouting and he left, still haven't seen him on the Island......Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

Maybe Ness has been contacted.....

During the first intermssion of the Wild radio broadcast last night, JP Parise was interviewed, talking mainly about Zach. He was asked a question about SSM, where he talked about what the SSM program focuses on - skill development and team building. He specifically mentioned Kyle Okposo when discussing character, hard work and being a good teammate.

By all accounts he has been a good teammate in Lowell, as well as with Team USA/WJT. We'll probably never really know what went on at UMTC that caused Kyle to leave mid-season. Maybe he had a bad, shelfish attitude. Or maybe he felt he had to leave because "the program" was not what he anticipated/was led to believe. On the surface it looks like he bailed on his teammates. Maybe. Or maybe he was the one misled/bailed.

None of us know. None of us.

Or maybe, as has been rumored, he just really didn't like school that well. D1 sports are a huge commitment because you still have to go to school full-time.

Wow they must both be smart as hell. Good pick-up for Harvard...

It's been confirmed on GPL that Lee has NOT committed to Harvard, though he will be visiting there this summer. Everson verballed a long time ago, so his commitment is solid / true.

So...does anybody know who the recruits on the bench tonight were? The one kid had a Holy Angels sweatshirt on.

I wasn't informed on anything, but it may have been Danny Mattson. Sometimes we have committed players come up for games (Kristo, Gleason, and Nick Mattson already have this year), and Danny isn't playing right now so it may have been him.

  • 4 weeks later...
Tyler Lapic from New Prague committed to Wisconsin, who offered him a substantial scholarship, we did show an interest in him.

Also, Tyler Pitlick committed to MSU, Mankato.

Don't know if he was an interest by the Sioux, but I did hear good things about him.
