Win would put them with Western Michigan a loss would be Albany with Michigan. That is if bracket integrity.

But would that possibly change our matchup so they can avoid 1st round conference matchups, or have they moved away from that philosophy?

I think they could match up first round if the conference has 5 teams in?

That gives UND a higher 4 seed or Western a lower 4 seed same for Michigan State. The rules state 5 or more intra-conference matchups can happen. I remember this happening to the WCHA once when they got 6 in. 

The 2008 NCAA tournament had 3 WCHA teams in Madison

They won't have to though. They would have 2 1's, 1 2, 1 3 and 1 4 and we would likely get Ohio State since they can't play Sparty.

I know they can move within seeding bands, but swapping Merrimack(19 NPI) for Mankato(13 NPI) seems like a lot
