Not sure how many of BU's issues will get better by getting even younger in the forward group, but he's definitely a skilled player.
What BU lacks isn't skill though...seems to be a lot of their issues lie in defensive coverage.
If Tynan plays a 200ft game, then he'll help.

Well, I hope this blows up in their face. I'm for a rule that says you can't add players unless a season ending injury or eligibility issue (these should be taken care of before the season). Once the roster is set at the start of the season its set, no mulligans.

I certainly wouldn't shed a tear if BU happens to miss the NCAA's completely.  :)
Would be humorous if both OMac and Boisvert's NCAA careers end that way, while their old team is close to a #1 seed.

this weekend could see some good movement.

Denver and Western Michigan could be 1 point apart if Western Michigan sweeps in Denver.

Pulling for Miami and St. Cloud to sweep this weekend. Those two sweep and Omaha is 9th.

I like this idea. They must have broomed someone to have room to bring him in?

Doesn't look like anyone of the now 28 players left, why they have a ACHA goalie makes no sense. They are carrying 4 goalies unlike AFA with 5 goalies

I've heard BU can't opt in because their conference (non-hockey) would kick them out.

I think we'd like to have this exact option though in a future season where a 1st half hasn't went well. Recruiting has it's ebbs and flows so for a year where some freshmen clearly don't pan out / a goalie doesn't pan out I'd 100% be open to adding a player mid season if the staff thinks they can make an impact. I think you want to be careful with doing this too often but do it when it makes sense for the player and can jumpstart the team.

What happens when J Brandt or A Kollar can’t stop a beachball after a Friday night game at Mariucci? Can’t you call up and play a ushl player for Saturday night in his junior team goalie pads?

There are 3 goalies already some have 4 at times. If you can't stop the puck, get on the ice and practice.

If a goalie is a long-term injury than bring in another. If a goalie can't stop the puck that's a coaching and goalie issue and they should be able to fix it.

Bring in a Josh Siembida at mid-season.  ;)

They're still able to make an at-large, but with their NPI sitting at #19 (9-8-1) with 16 (mostly) conference games remaining, they cannot afford any bad losses to teams below them.

BU's current NPI is #23, so even a little worse.
They've certainly got some ground to make up if they want a shot at an at-large bid.

Good catch, could have sworn they were #19 earlier this morning. They usually update the NPI very shortly after each game has ended.

That being the case, getting to the safe cut-off of #12 from #23 will be quite the task; especially now since it's not fluctuating as wildly as it was a couple of months ago. If memory serves me correctly, UND was hovering at about #23 also, give or take a couple, about a year ago at this time in the PWR.

Sounds like Western Michigan lost Crusberg-Roseen for the year with a torn ACL from the Wisconsin game. They’ve lost two of there best defensemen for the year.

I'm hearing he's not out for the year, just a while.  Not sure exactly what that means, but losing him and Joona is a big blow.

Joe Gramer (2005, Moorhead MN, Nebraska Omaha) has left to go to the Dub to finish the season with the Seattle Thunderbirds. Wasn't playing much for the Mavericks, I guess he hopes to get an NCAA roster spot somewhere else next year

Did some sort of 'cancer' manifest in the BU room this fall?

Well, UND is minus three players from last season and isn't having the same problems this year. Make of that what you want.

Part of that responsibility lies on the captain, who supposedly caused more problems than he solved.

I think some coaches would’ve kicked him off the team.
