brianvf Posted Tuesday at 05:02 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:02 PM Not sure how many of BU's issues will get better by getting even younger in the forward group, but he's definitely a skilled player. What BU lacks isn't skill though...seems to be a lot of their issues lie in defensive coverage. If Tynan plays a 200ft game, then he'll help. 3 Quote
cberkas Posted Tuesday at 09:02 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 09:02 PM Well, I hope this blows up in their face. I'm for a rule that says you can't add players unless a season ending injury or eligibility issue (these should be taken care of before the season). Once the roster is set at the start of the season its set, no mulligans. Quote

Would be humorous if both OMac and Boisvert's NCAA careers end that way, while their old team is close to a #1 seed. 1 1 Quote
cberkas Posted Tuesday at 09:14 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 09:14 PM this weekend could see some good movement. Denver and Western Michigan could be 1 point apart if Western Michigan sweeps in Denver. Pulling for Miami and St. Cloud to sweep this weekend. Those two sweep and Omaha is 9th. 1 Quote

Doesn't look like anyone of the now 28 players left, why they have a ACHA goalie makes no sense. They are carrying 4 goalies unlike AFA with 5 goalies I've heard BU can't opt in because their conference (non-hockey) would kick them out. Quote

Recruiting has it's ebbs and flows so for a year where some freshmen clearly don't pan out / a goalie doesn't pan out I'd 100% be open to adding a player mid season if the staff thinks they can make an impact. I think you want to be careful with doing this too often but do it when it makes sense for the player and can jumpstart the team. 1 Quote
Level B Fishbowl Posted Tuesday at 10:54 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:54 PM Screw BU. They could revel in mediocrity for the next five years as far as I'm concerned. Their issue is lack of heart and discipline, not talent Quote

Can’t you call up and play a ushl player for Saturday night in his junior team goalie pads? 1 Quote

If a goalie is a long-term injury than bring in another. If a goalie can't stop the puck that's a coaching and goalie issue and they should be able to fix it. Quote

BU's current NPI is #23, so even a little worse. They've certainly got some ground to make up if they want a shot at an at-large bid. Quote

They usually update the NPI very shortly after each game has ended. That being the case, getting to the safe cut-off of #12 from #23 will be quite the task; especially now since it's not fluctuating as wildly as it was a couple of months ago. If memory serves me correctly, UND was hovering at about #23 also, give or take a couple, about a year ago at this time in the PWR. Quote

They’ve lost two of there best defensemen for the year. I'm hearing he's not out for the year, just a while. Not sure exactly what that means, but losing him and Joona is a big blow. Quote
nascar99 Posted yesterday at 07:05 PM Posted yesterday at 07:05 PM Joe Gramer (2005, Moorhead MN, Nebraska Omaha) has left to go to the Dub to finish the season with the Seattle Thunderbirds. Wasn't playing much for the Mavericks, I guess he hopes to get an NCAA roster spot somewhere else next year Quote

SIOUXELEVENS Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Berry should have pulled that C after that and let all the players know the team before individuals. Sitting him for two games wasn’t what was needed. 1 Quote
