Nobody thought they were loaded this year, including Schlossman. We've seen how team chemistry can change quite a bit from one year to the next, and I would imagine that would be even moreso when the portal is used extensively. Quote

Western loses 8 core players including Bump & Washe. It'll take quite an infusion of talent in the off-season to make them dominant again like this year. 2 Quote

They’re gonna be damn good with the additions from the portal they’ve already gotten Quote

How they handle that and whether guys like Slukynsky and Nehring can duplicate their seasons will go a long way in determining whether they can defend their league title and make another run. I think the big thing is that they have a system that they play, and Ferschweiler seems to be able to get them to play it. Quote

I’m not saying they’re repeating as champs, just saying they’re still gonna be a good team. Quote

I think they have shown under Ferschweiler that they are always going to be a tough team to play, especially in their own building. I am hoping UND gets back to their identity, and can become a team that is known for bringing it every shift game in and game out. 1 Quote

I said it before UND makes the tournament and will win at least one game. 2 Quote

His loss would be felt there. And not saying it's all due to Herter, but UMD still hasn't recovered yet after his departure. Quote
brianvf Posted Tuesday at 07:59 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:59 PM WMU will still be very good. The biggest factor will be Bump IMO. He was their hard-working superstar and their entire offense flowed thru him. They don't have someone to fill that void. Similar to us last year when we lost Blake. Our whole offense went thru him. 1 Quote

burd Posted Tuesday at 10:35 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:35 PM UND fans are always fretting about what Denver has, or Duluth, or Western, or Minny . . . Let's just win the games we're supposed to win and win a fair share against those teams with the scary rosters. Then who knows? It might even be a fun team to watch. 1 3 Quote

Crazy that he didn’t get a single point in the NCAAs. Talk about a team that was coached insanely well and had the right guys step up when needed. Quote
