brianvf Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 DU up 3-1 on UAF, despite getting outshot 14-8. Not a good save % for that UAF goalie. Quote
brianvf Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Make that 4-1 DU now Jack Devine with back to back PP goals. He had two goals yesterday too, so he already has 4 goals in 2 games. Good start to the season for him. Quote

Popular Post AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted October 9, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 9, 2023 Congrats to Robert Morris winning a game in their first weekend back. May the guy who unilaterally attempted to kill their hockey programs never forget being booed off campus. 6 Quote

brianvf Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/the-heralds-2023-24-conference-by-conference-college-hockey-preview I hadn't heard this before: Quote St. Thomas is not eligible to make the NCAA tournament until 2026-27 due to its transition to NCAA Division I. If the Tommies win the CCHA playoff, the league’s automatic bid will go to the runner-up. Schloss picks UND to finish 2nd behind DU. He also picks Blake as the top forward, Perron as the top recruit, and Berg as the top transfer. Berg was oddly absent from the scoresheet in UND's 10-0 exhibition win. Quote
AlphaMikeFoxtrot Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Watching a little bit of St Cloud vs St Thomas, Anhorn made some dumb plays that gave UST two PP goals. The boarding penalty was a classic "Lucia-era" player turning their back to a check along the boards, but you've got to be smart and pull up when it happens. The other penalty might not have been called had he not done the same thing (driving an opponent into your own goalie) less than a minute prior. Quote

That is surprising because he was very noticeable. Quote
nodak651 Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 Is it just me or are there a bunch of overlapping games between MN and SCSU on Fox9+ this year? Any idea what the plan is for overlapping games? Quote
cberkas Posted October 11, 2023 Author Posted October 11, 2023 https://x.com/Buccigross/status/1711810339212271880?s=20 I think I and another poster on here said that Barry Melrose looked like he has Parkinson's back during I what to say the NCAA Regional in Loveland a few years ago when they wouldn't stop showing his hands shaking. Melrose will be missed, but health and family can't be replaced. Hopefully he enjoys his retirement. 3 Quote

Hopefully we get on board soon. I saw Perron and Blake signing jerseys after the exhibition game last week. I assume they weren't asking $300. And if they do start asking for money, might as well ditch the annual meet the team and autograph session, unless you have tables saying how much money each is asking for their autograph. At some point, college athletics will completely lose its allure. 1 Quote
