The moral should be for Raiders fans (I'm not one), the Davis family will screw over their fan base at any cost. The sad thing would be if the Raiders moved back to Oakland in 10 years. Quote

Prison_Mike Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Didn't watch a single down of NFL football today for the first time ever. Was planning on going the the Vikings game next Sunday but won't be doing that now. Never thought I would see a sports commissioner dumber than Gary Bettman. Congratulation Goodell... 3 Quote

TBR Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Chargers first year of existence (1960) was as the LA Chargers. They've finally gone home to mend all those broken hearts in LA. {Irony} Quote
TBR Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Chiefs started as the Dallas Texans (1960-62). AFL champs in "62. Quote

tnt Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 http://dailycaller.com/2017/09/25/mike-rowe-blasts-everyone-involved-in-the-nfl-national-anthem-protests/ Not that opinions of celebrities should carry any more weight than the common man with common sense, but I think Mike Rowe makes a lot of good points. If the multiple strikes didn't change the clamoring for the NFL by the fans, I don't think much will. But I would hope that they would be hurt to some degree in the ratings and attendance just to put some thought in the back of their heads. Would love to see a big backlash, but I think the NFL knows that isn't going to happen, that's why they choose to be so bold. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Their ratings were sliding the last two seasons. The cynic in me says here's their formula: a little controversy, get some press, get people to tune in to see what pre-game hi-jinx is going on today and maybe the sets stay tuned in. Quote
darell1976 Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 I just hope the media (along with a certain someone in Washington DC), will look away from this and people can just enjoy a football game. You wanna stand then stand, you wanna kneel then kneel. I will always stand because its my choice. Makes me wonder what will be talked about at the Super Bowl. Here's a hint it won't be the halftime show, the commercials, or the teams playing the game. Quote
