SWSiouxMN Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 After an up and down and all around road trip, UND looks to start the home part of the conference schedule on the right foot with the visiting NAU lumberjacks, who are coming off a 93-80 set back against SUU last weekend. Since taking NAU to the CIT championship 2 years ago, NAU has fallen on some hard times. Still quite a bit of youth on this squad. Last year UND won big down in Flagstaff 101-59 and have a 4-3 advantage in the series since joining the Big Sky. Including a 1-2 record in Grand Forks. Player to watch: Jordyn Martin (12.1 ppg, 8.1 rpg): should be a fun battle between him and Drick/Avants down low This could be what the doctor ordered for this squad, get 2 home wins, look good doing it and get some much needed confidence going into the tough Montana swing next weekend. Other Big Sky Games SUU (1-0) @ UNC (2-0) Montana (1-1) @ Idaho (0-1)* SWSiouxMN game of the night MSU (1-1) @ EWU (1-0) Off: Weber, ISU, PSU and SAC Prediciton: Home is where the heart is. UND TCB 81-64 Quote
BarnWinterSportsEngelstad Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Should be good game to watch, looking for UND to play a disciplined game. Quote
hoops44 Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 hope the play undisciplined wild unpredictable basketball like they usually do confuse NAZ and win at home like they usually do Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 always had liked the NAU road yellow unis they had. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 UND 10 NAU 7 under 16 media TO Avants pacing UND with 4 points Quote
CMSioux Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Carson plays with a dark cloud over his head - now he's missing dunks. Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 UND 14 NAU 9 11:16 1st NAU had turned the ball over 7 times already Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 UND 21 NAU 14 7:44 1st very helter-skelter tonight, fortunate NAU is playing worse Quote
bincitysioux Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I like the Midco analyst Greg Stemen's explanation of the UND offense: "not coherent, not consistent, and not confident". Pretty much sums up the last decade or so of college basketball in Grand Forks. 2 Quote
CMSioux Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 What does Shanks work on in the offseason - geez make a two footer. 1 Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 Interesting that Jones stuck Walters out there. Wonder is Drick is in the doghouse with all those turnovers Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 I wish a bit of Avants would rub off of Shanks Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Underwhelming so far. Up 33-30 17 minutes left Sigh Quote
CMSioux Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 We just can't get it together - talented individuals but no consistency. Painful to watch. Quote
UND-1 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 This is awful. NAU sucks and UND is now tied with them. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 too much talent to play like this, look like the walking dead out there to start the half. Quote
Cratter Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Need any sort of crowd to help the guys out. Quote
UND-1 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Really not that much talent. Hooker and Crandall have talent. Avants is a good BB player. The rest of the team is a bunch of ham & eggers or bad at basketball. Quote
