CoteauRinkRat Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 another naughty cheer from the Badger fans Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 End of 1st period great period for the Sioux A lot of offensive pressure and some really big saves for Brandt 3-0 Sioux Quote
Smoggy Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Well Im living in Jersey now so its not much of a loss, I was more hoping for some Sioux friendly Engelstad related bar. You can try the Imperial Palace. It is Ralph's casino. Your best bet is buy the digital satellite, or get DirecTV or Dishnetwork. The digital will give you all the home games. The other two give you some away games/whatever CSTV shows. Plus east coast games. I've heard rumors that Victory will produce all Sioux away games, so who knows? Quote
redwing77 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Despite those naughty cheers, I have to say two things: Two cheers briefly shown on TV looked like fun. One had peope rocking back and forth and the other had them all jumping. The second thing is that their band is GOOOOOOD. I hope our band eventually sounds that tight. Ok folks, prepare for the 2nd period. UW will show up this period. I'm sure of it. Quote

Smoggy Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Good first period. We got some good bounces, and played a very good period. We look like we want to pound them tonight. I like how we're even scrummin' a bit after the whistle. It shows how intense they are. Bina is pretty fast. Smaby is finally looks like he wants to hit someone. Brandt is in position to make the saves. What is with FSN. They use our logo when they first come on the air. Everything after that has been the geometric logo. For those lawyers: Could UND tell FSN that they can't use the geometric? If it's a PC move, the new logo is much better than having the geometric. Quote
redwing77 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Dude! That Braun guy has a really bad toupe'!! Quote
flatspin7 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Thanks Cali- ----------------------- I like a good one sided period Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Marc Chorney was Tim H's first intermission guest. He commented on how his son Taylor, was going to go visit Minnesota and some other schools, but after visiting UND during the BC series in October, he knew he wanted to play for the Sioux. So he gave UND his commitment and was done going to other schools. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 sloppy play to start the 2nd by the Sioux, played most of the period on their heels Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 16:36 to go in the 2nd and the Sioux should have declined the 1st intermission. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 penalty on the Sioux for tripping Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Bina for hooking at 4:27 of the 1st Quote

diggin42 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 The second thing is that their band is GOOOOOOD. I hope our band eventually sounds that tight. The UW is to marching bands what UND is to men's ice hockey. They and Ohio State are considered the premier bands in the land. I lived in Madison for 5 years and it was ALWAYS a pleasure to see their band at work, especially at football games. Here's a cool link if you want to hear the UW band play, "The Bud Song." Kinda makes you feel like you're there! http://www.uwbadgers.com/traditions/school_songs.aspx I like this quote from their website: Band director Michael Leckrone said the song's popularity got started at a 1975 hockey game. "The crowd wanted to hear a polka," he said. "I didn't have any polkas. We had, just by accident, this beer commercial in the tunes we play. I told the band if we substituted the word Wisconsin' for Budweiser' it would work." Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 the sioux hold the puck in the offensize zone for the last 1:30 of the pp, but fail to score Quote
