ericpnelson
What they should do is instead of having the scored of other games on the video board for the whole game, they sould have the game stats for both teams. Having the scores once in awhile to update current games is ok, but after I know the score, I don't need to see it for another 2 hours!! Hopefully someone at the AL reads this boeard. We obviously have all the answers!! I like this idea too. I'd rather consistently see stats there than other scores. Isn't there small digital scoreboards off to the side of the big video boards? Maybe use those to show other scores. Better yet, have two of those on each side, one for other scores, one for stats, video board for replays, highlights, and eventually videos of wolves eating bison (That's a two problem solution there folks.) Yes, I intentionally thread drifted to plug my nickname idea. I'm not above it.
ibleedgreen
Settle down buddy. And try reading my sentence again. Either a) you were not at the game or b) didn't notice. Because there was no seat it did not block as it was hanging down In front of the board about five feet in front of it. I wasn't "bitching" just pointing out the obvious. I was 5th row....so no I didn't notice. Sorry bud!
ibleedgreen
I don't understand why they don't just move the "divider" "trashbag" whatever it is up so it doesn't block the top part of the board. I also do not understand why 25% of the board is almost always taken up with the next home game information/scores. Why don't they just do some sort of ticker across the bottom to keep people updated? It seems to be a waste of space to have it up the whole game. *The board is nice but I feel it can be better implemented for game day. Agree....they should use the smaller "advertisement boards" for the scores. I have not seen one stadium use the boards in the way that the Alerus does. Just doesn't make sense. There are endless possiblities of what they can be used for. Unfortuanely those ideas are quickly swept under the rug and the video boards end up just getting used for advertising. Look to the Ralph for further evidence of this!!

Gotta pay for $2 million video boards somehow.
dakotadan
Does anyone know the actual sizes of the Al's video boards, both the main and auxiliary?
UND-FB-FAN
Don't know exact size, just will comment they are a very nice upgrade over the old ones. I like them a lot. Now the goal for UND and the Alerus Center should be to find more creative ways to use them.
