GeauxSioux Posted March 18 Posted March 18 College Football Program Sues to Force Conference Realignment Quote Per their official statement, “Today, Louisiana Tech took a necessary step in the best interest of its student athletes. When we joined Conference USA in 2013, its membership was different, its scheduling was different, and the landscape of college athletics was very different. Seven months ago, we notified CUSA of our intent to exit in July 2026. We have worked in good faith toward an amicable separation within conference bylaws. The proposed 2026 football schedule drafted by CUSA left us no choice but to pursue this remedy. Wave of the future? 1 Quote
GeauxSioux Posted Friday at 11:55 PM Posted Friday at 11:55 PM The University of West Florida is making a major announcement next week regarding the athletic department. Rumor is that it a change of classification to Division I. If true, I will have FCS football in my backyard. They are currently building a new football stadium to seat 7500. I have pointed out on another forum that UWF has a high school gym for basketball. Definite upgrade required. UWF has a really beautiful campus. 1 Quote

UND type commitment or Murray State type? The last thing FCS needs right now is more Ne'er Do Wells. Same thing can be said about D1 basketball except you can't use Murray State as an example, they seem competitive in BB. How successful were they in D2 athletics? Quote
