East/West would be MVC + Youngstown East and the Summit (Dakotas + Texas) West, putting the stronger programs in the West. Also would be easier to split Summit football. Then there could be 2 automatic berths. 

or just have fenton get acu and tarleton to join the summit WITH FOOTBALL

summit would have 6 fb and mvfc would have 6 fb

then let those 2 confernces fight for new members and try to poach from each other by SELLING their respective conferences

summit+football+hockey>mvc+mvfc

Well Slummit football sure as hell doesn't excite me.   Do you know any other MVFC schools that want to move to the Slummit?   I sure don't.   I haven't heard any of the other 3 Dakota schools even mentioning it.   I agree with Kab, I'd rather have the Big Sky.

I think you are missing the big picture if the summit league football happens.  If we can attract higher quality schools to the summit league which is the core league it is a good thing.  If it brings teams from Texas like ACU and Tarleton to all sports thats a good thing for the core sports and football.  What teams other then the Dakota schools excite you now ? Northern Iowa and Illinois state ? Murray state, indiana state and Youngstown sure don't. I'd rather watch ACU and Tarleton.  This move wouldn't just be about football but the bigger picture of strengthening the summit league.  If it didn't do that then I wouldn't be for it either.

So how do the other 3 Dakota schools feel about Slummit football?   Are they on board?   What about UNI?  I'm not seeing anything anywhere else.

yes...the dak4 are the power of the mvfc....yes....the dak4 would love to play schools that priortize football unlike indaina state and murray state and a couple other mvc schools that have football also in he mvfc....

you have to get 6 schools...easier said than done tho...its risky to try to start summit football if the core 6-8 are looking eslewhere then feton would have to call the mvfc back and ooops ...sorry can we come back?????.....yes they (dak4) are talking/discussing it...it's just whether or not fenton wants to be the guy or the mvfc's little bitch.
