Hak's weekly press conference...

Asked if Danny violated any team rules, he said no.

From what I could gather there was no "school codes" or team rules violated...that in itself, coming from Hak's mouth, says alot about the situation. That was good to hear IMO.

Lightweight. Our crew was at Whitey's, the Antique or Frenchy's nearly every night. :0

Well, I guess I would make it out to the Antique on Mondays not sure what night the cheap drinks were at Bonzers? That may have been Thursdays? Maybe I was out more than just on the weekends..... biggrin.gif

Just had a few drinks at an estabishment and heard from a really good source some information about Danny but if you guys want me to post it I will but most will think that its jsut the rumor coming from someones mouse but im 99.9% sure this is the truth.

Also Happy 40th BDay to Dane Jackson. Saw all the hockey coaches/admin at the establishment celebrating his 40th. Yes i did get the info from this establishment.

If anyone has the info about this i sure would appreciate be let in the circle of trust.

Ditto! And don't let your friends walk anywhere except across the hall when they have been drinking. You lose body heat very quickly when you've been drinking. Several years ago a young man left a party in GF, drunk, to walk home during a blizzard/bad storm. He was lost in a snow bank for quite a while (weeks) before his body was finally found.

That was in 1997, and they found him in a van that was parked for the winter. They were searching in all the snow banks, but they didn't find him for at least a month, he had frozen to death after passing out in a van that he got into for shelter, if I remember the same story you are talking about.

That was the story I was thinking about also.

What a horrible story. So sad.

That was the year Grand Forks set a record for snowfall. We had about 110 inches of snow. The snowbanks were huge, and he disappeared in one of the many storms. No one had any idea where to look. I think he got lost and got off the route they expected him to take. The van he crawled into didn't move for months so no one looked in it, and the storm covered all of the tracks. It was a terrible story.

Ah, now I remember. I thought he was buried in the snow. You're correct. The year of the flood!

Does your professor tell you at the end of class not to go out and drink or you'll receive a failing grade? Does you employer say do not go out and drink or you will be fired? I'm guessing the answers to both those questions is a resounding NO. They are athletic coaches, not babysitters.

Was just reading through trying to get an update. Some much needed laughter on this quote. I am sure that's what Hak says in every living room when ma and pa are handing over the keys to their children.

I hope to hear good news on Danny. Great talent and from what I have heard, nice young man.

Heard some great/positive news about Mr. Kristo!

Here we go again...

Seriously, are some of you people 12 year old girls?!?!

If you are going to post this "news", finish the story or don't post anything!

Smile Oxbow...What I was told was that all extremities were completely functioning.

Do you live near the course down there in Oxbow? It's a great course.

First we get this.....

Let's see......

- had a "few" drinks at an establishment

- heard from a very reliable source (while having a "few" drinks) at this establishment

- 99.9% sure that what he heard over a "few" drinks is the truth

The we get this.....

Now this is where it gets a little confusing for me when he comes back on his next post and says.......

- this may or may not be the whole story (he's 99.9% sure it's the truth, but it may not be the whole story)

- just what he heard over a "few" drinks

Well, I don't know about anybody else, but I believe we can pretty much run with this impeccable source. :silly:

My thoughts exactly. Everyone that is in the "know" needs to chill out. Let the information come out as it does. Danny's parents want privacy, so that is what we should give them. Not speculation.

so does that mean no positive news about his progress? i mean the information hasnt come out yet so technically its speculation still....

Positive progress is what we all want, if someone has news on that, post it. I just want the negativity curbed. I don't think it does anyone any good to be gloomy about $hit like this.

drinking alcohol isnt a team violation so alcohol can still be involved

Well this might be true for players that are at least 21 because they would not be doing anything illegal. In Danny's case he is still about 5 months away from turning 21 and thus would be a team violation as was shown by his previous suspension from the minor he received. I would say that not violating any team rules at this point for him is a good sign that it does not involve alcohol.

I'm going to take a guess and say being arrested or cited for underage drinking is a violation of team rules. Since there has been no arrest or citation there is no violation of team rules. Regarless...I hope there is more positive news forthcoming regardless of if alcohol was involved.

So you're saying the tree that falls in the empty forest makes no sound.
