YaneA Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Al said his bus was sold out so that's gotta be in the neighborhood of 40-50. By the way, if you're flexible and would like to get on the Omaha trip waiting list (somebody usually drops out at the last minute), PM me and I'll give you contact info. Quote

redwing77 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I thought you had to go a bit further south than Omaha for that. Nope. You just have to cross the river. Counciltucky, Iowa. Quote
Siouxmama Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 So we are headed down to Omaha, who else is going? I'll say Sioux take 3 points. Mr. Siouxmama and I will be there. Hopping on Al's bus. Always a good time on there! Quote

MissSioux85 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Magnolia Hotel Heads up, the Magnolia Hotel is listed on BedBugRegistry.com. The only report was back in the fall of 2009. The problem has more than likely been fixed by now, but it wouldn't hurt to call to make sure. http://bedbugregistry.com/search/hotel/l:Omaha,-NE/ Quote
Sodbuster Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Heads up, the Magnolia Hotel is listed on BedBugRegistry.com. I suggest giving the hotel a call to see if they have gotten rid of the problem. http://bedbugregistry.com/search/hotel/l:Omaha,-NE/ If I was going on this trip that bit of information would really bug me. Siouxmama Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Heads up, the Magnolia Hotel is listed on BedBugRegistry.com. The only report was back in the fall of 2009. The problem has more than likely been fixed by now, but it wouldn't hurt to call to make sure. http://bedbugregistry.com/search/hotel/l:Omaha,-NE/ Good news here. The Magnolia Hotel was contacted, and the incident that happened in 2009 involved a traveler from overseas. They figured he had brought the "bug" that he claimed to have seen. A search was done of his room, and all surrounding rooms, with nothing found. Now, they bring in a bedbug sniffing dog (yes, there is such a thing) quarterly, and nothing has ever been found. They have also remodeled, and assure us this will be a pleasant stay. Quote
