JESUS,family, rutgers Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 What are the reasons Michigan Tech's program is so bad? Were they better in the past? Quote
keikla Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I'm kind of surprised by how much pressure tech is putting on in the offensive zone. Very aggressive PK as well. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Not even a shot on goal there. C'mon boys. Quote
bcblues Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Huskies are fore checking strong. That cuts both ways though, as it leaves them vulnerable on transition. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 What are the reasons Michigan Tech's program is so bad? Were they better in the past? They had a good program back in the 70's, but since then, it's been all down hill for them. I suppose it's difficult to attract top players to their campus when they're competing with Michigan, Michigan St., Wisconsin, Minnesota, and even North Dakota, who all have top programs. With their history as of late, why would top end players want to play in Houghton? Quote
keikla Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 UND has 2 SOG mid-1st. That's just not going to cut it. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 UND has 2 SOG mid-1st. That's just not going to cut it. and they have 3 just get 1 in and crack their style Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Sioux all over them in that little flurry. Quote
neoflex Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 UND has 2 SOG mid-1st. That's just not going to cut it. They maybe in last place...but Tech always plays the Sioux close. There just a tough team to play against for us. We may win the series, but they might jsut sneak a game from us...and force it to 3 games. Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 and they have 3 just get 1 in and crack their style This is the key. If the Sioux can take the lead on them, the Huskies will have to stop just waiting for the Sioux to make a mistake. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009 there we go!! 1-0 sioux VV from frattin and miller get a lead on them and they have to change it up a bit Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Go hard to the net and good things can happen. Frattin's work created the juicy rebound for VV. 1-0 Quote
brianvf Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 get a lead on them and they have to change it up a bit Exactly. Quote
wsdSIOUXfalls Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Sioux - 1 Huskies - 0 End of 1st period Quote
keikla Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Is anyone else having issues with the webcast? Both the picture and sound keep freezing up. Quote
jk Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 This is the key. If the Sioux can take the lead on them, the Huskies will have to stop just waiting for the Sioux to make a mistake. All due respect, MTU has not been sitting back waiting for a Sioux mistake; they played an aggressive forechecking period. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Is anyone else having issues with the webcast? Both the picture and sound keep freezing up. Mine's been really good thus far. Hoping it stays that way. Quote
yzerman19 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Tech clearly came to play. They looked good. We looked surprised. THe aggressive forecheck will put pressure on our dcorps. We wer having trouble with the outlet passes. Calm down, play our game. We might've just withstood the best they have. First couple shifts in the second will be telling... Quote
wsdSIOUXfalls Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 MTU penalty LET'S GO SIOUX !!! Way to go Duncan !!!!!!! Quote
