What are the reasons Michigan Tech's program is so bad? Were they better in the past?

They had a good program back in the 70's, but since then, it's been all down hill for them. I suppose it's difficult to attract top players to their campus when they're competing with Michigan, Michigan St., Wisconsin, Minnesota, and even North Dakota, who all have top programs. With their history as of late, why would top end players want to play in Houghton?

UND has 2 SOG mid-1st. That's just not going to cut it.

They maybe in last place...but Tech always plays the Sioux close. There just a tough team to play against for us. We may win the series, but they might jsut sneak a game from us...and force it to 3 games.

This is the key. If the Sioux can take the lead on them, the Huskies will have to stop just waiting for the Sioux to make a mistake.

All due respect, MTU has not been sitting back waiting for a Sioux mistake; they played an aggressive forechecking period.

Tech clearly came to play. They looked good. We looked surprised. THe aggressive forecheck will put pressure on our dcorps. We wer having trouble with the outlet passes. Calm down, play our game. We might've just withstood the best they have. First couple shifts in the second will be telling...
