Denver wins the Common Opponent and wins a point for RPI, and UND wins 1 H2H and 1 for TUC record. If they win they get another H2H point I think. Gwoz's antics have to be considered by the league. You can not have a coach leave the bench. It is unacceptable. The official shouldn't even have spoken to him, but had security escort him out. Players wear letters on their jerseys to consult the officials and report back to their bench. Sioux didn't have it tonight. Denver outskated us and beat us to the loose pucks. I agree that BE stole this one for us. I don't know if it was curious George's antics or what, but we were not on our game. Having to kill all those penalties in the third basically killed our legs. Unfortunately under Hak we can't seem to win the big game. im not thrilled with the 2-2 tie but for the most part they seemed to lack the intensity but oh well. they stole a point and you move on to st cloud. just another big series in st cloud with du hosting alaska and minny with a home and home vs msu. the sioux had the ump to begin the 3rd without a doubt but killing 6 minutes of penalties will break that up fast which is what happened. BE did his job. i would love to see blood or fienhage in for lapoint. he really is timid still on many plays in the sioux end which cant happen. not aggresive at all. maybe a night or two off will light a spark for him individually as it can for players. thats all im saying. he has the skills but just is timid still at this point of the season and if jones can sit one night then im sure he can as well Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But we sure could have used some of those goals that came so easily last night. I couldn't believe Gwoz walked clear across the ice to challenge the officials. That's got to be a huge no-no and he deserved the boos of 11,000+ people when he did so. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but a tool nonetheless. That being said, there was a lot of stuff that wasn't called both ways the officials, I repeat the officials didn't cost anyone the game but you will find out when you read the Rocky Mountain news link on my blog that Hak wasn't impressed with the Refs effort. I have watched enough hockey over the years and I have the ability to tell what good officating is. The offical in the "W" are as a whole some of the worst officials I have seen call hockey games. The officals calling North Dakota high school Hockey games are better. There is nothing wrong with saying the refs are bad. They were. The league have backed off calling the games the way the NCAA mandated at the beginning of the season. Anderson lost his composure a few times during the games this weekend. The officals almost lost control of the game yesterday. The WCHA teams are going to be in trouble again when they get to the NCAA playoffs. Aside from Trupp's sick goal I didn't see one thing that indicated this was the same team that waxed DU's hind end last night. Eidsness (obviously) was POTG for the Sioux, but he needs to stop by his nearest house of worship to thank someone or something for the post in overtime. That was a full-on clanger that would've sent the fans home disappointed. Denver comes with a full-on forecheck (they had five skaters from center ice in all the freakin' time!), and on the off chance the Sioux were able to break out of their zone and actually carry the puck in on Cheverie, the Pios collapsed into the slot and shut off everything. Two thing I don't know get: 1. Why do the Sioux have such a hard time with this defense? and 2. Why does every team in the country not play this against UND? This was a lucky tie; I hope the team sees and understands that. Oh, btw, Anderson and Campion didn't do that badly a job calling the game. The Sioux were constantly getting beat to the puck, getting passed by forwards breaking out and breaking in on Eidsness.
