AZSIOUX
but they are the gophers and i can see the ncaa making it so they get in sorry, doesnt work like that even though a few think so they have simply played themselves out of the tourney. there isnt one scenerio that they get in and has to be simply embarassing to not make your own regional as its pretty hard not to make the ncaa hockey toruney for top tier teams
AZSIOUX
When is the last time Minnesota, Wisconsin, and BC all missed the NCAAs? man, great question. probably have to go way back this may be a easier one but whens the last time a defending champion didnt make the ncaa tourney? rochsioux
My guess if UMD wins: Northeast - Manchester 1 - BU 15 - OSU 8 - UND 10 - UNH Midwest - Grand Rapids 2 - Notre Dame 16 - BSU 7 - UMD 12 - Princeton West - Minneapolis 3 - Denver 13 - Miami 6 - NE 11 - Cornell East - Bridgeport 4 - Michigan 14 - AF 5 - Yale 9 - Vermont

RedFrog
the sioux will play either vermont or UNH i believe first round looking at seeds. i think vermont as they will be the 9 seed Yale(a host team) has to play Vermont. in the band of 3 seeds, you have UNH (also a host team) and 2 ECAC teams that Yale can't play. With UNH in Manchester, and Yale in Bridgeport, and Notre Dame in Grand Rapids, wouldn't this work? Manchester 3 Denver 14 [AQ] Air Force 6t [AQ] Minnesota-Duluth 10 New Hampshire Bridgeport 5 [AQ] Yale 13 Miami 4 Michigan 11 Cornell Minneapolis 1 [AQ] Boston University15t Ohio State 8 North Dakota9 Vermont Grand Rapids 2 [AQ] Notre Dame XX Bemidji 6t Northeastern 12 Princeton

siouxweet
I think the Sioux will be in Manchester-which maybe is a good thing to have to play a host team on basically home ice. it might get their focus a little more and plus why should they be rewarded for their performance this past weekend. duluth could end up in minneapolis instead of us. for our performance this weekend we should get the toughest bracket. UND-UNH will be a battle of teams with losing streaks.

This is how I think it will come out. The only chance I see for UND in msp: Northeast - Manchester 1 - BU 15 - OSU 7 - UMD 10 - UNH Midwest - Grand Rapids 2 - Notre Dame 16 - BSU 6 - NE 12 - Princeton West - Minneapolis 3 - Denver 13 - Miami 8 - UND 11 - Cornell East - Bridgeport 4 - Michigan 14 - AF 5 - Yale 9 - Vermont That would fix attendance in msp if it is a concern. No way they give us the 11 seed and Duluth the 10 seed and technically tougher opponent. The bracket integrity is so messed up already(w/ the 5 v 9) that they won't alter it more than they have to, even with any attendance conerns there might be. SiouxFanatic
Ah great, an effective way for the trend of MacNaughton Cup winners to bow out in the first round of the tournament to continue. If we get past UNH and BU. I'd be humbly surprised.
star2city
Isn't the #5 Yale vs #9 Vermont match problematic (Yale should be matched against the #13 seed, Miami, rather than a #9 seed). Seems like UMD could get placed in MSP. Northeast - Manchester 1 - BU 15 - OSU 8 - UND 10 - UNH Midwest - Grand Rapids 2 - Notre Dame
