andtheHomeoftheSIOUX!! Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Cal-Poly now up 13-0 mid 2nd Q. Whats up with Wisco today? Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Whats up with Wisco today? Their season has just imploded from what the expectations were at the start, last week's win over the Rodents notwithstanding. This is just another example of how far they have fallen. Quote
jimdahl Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Wisc comes back with a TD and 2 pt conversion in the last two minutes to push to OT. Cal Poly passes for a TD on the first play of OT, but misses the XP. Wisconsin scores a TD for the win. Final: Wisconsin 36, Cal Poly 35 Quote

Even with the crappy kicker, they are a threat to win the whole thing in FCS. The Sioux could have two defending national champs on the schedule next year. Quote
UNDvince97-01 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Looks like "Fast Eddy" Meierkort's text messages to his players for next year just got twice as long. Quote
RD17 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 This was a huge win for the program going into the offseason. A loss would have meant an 0-3 record in the Great West and that would have been used against UND in recruiting. Plus with the way the SE Lousiana and SUU games went, another gut wrenching loss would have been devastating. USD is now 27-3 in its last 30 home games... all three losses have been to UND. Quote
GeauxSioux Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Nice last game for Freund and something to build on for next year for Bamba and Murray...Senior quarterback Danny Freund (Kenosha, Wis.) finished with 305 yards on 30-of-37 passes and two touchdowns. True freshman wide receiver Ismael Bamba (Montreal, Quebec) led the Sioux in receiving with 91 yards on 10 receptions. He led with 173 all-purpose yards, getting 82 yards on kick returns. Murray enjoyed another 100-yard game, his fourth of the season. He nabbed 143 yards on 22 carries, including a career-high 62-yard touchdown run. Murray added another TD, a seven-yard carry, and three yards receiving. Quote
