sprig Posted November 6, 2003 Posted November 6, 2003 I'd guess he's Blake's replacement while on the IR. http://www.newyorkislanders.com/news/latestnews.html Quote
schmidtdoggydog Posted November 7, 2003 Author Posted November 7, 2003 Ryan Bayda scored his first goal of the season - the GWG - while playing just under 16 minutes during Carolina's victory over the Rangers tonight. Quote
redwing77 Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 ok, I'm serious. I don't know who he is. I know who Blake is. Quote
PCM Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 Psssssst...redwing77...you're not supposed to know who Mapletoft is. Quote
schmidtdoggydog Posted November 11, 2003 Author Posted November 11, 2003 I don't think this has been posted yet and I apologize if I missed it in another thread, but Travis Roche was waived by the Wild yesterday. Quote
Goon Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Psssssst...redwing77...you're not supposed to know who Mapletoft is. It was relevent because Mapleton was the guy that replaced Blaker. I also have no idea who he is. Quote
schmidtdoggydog Posted November 11, 2003 Author Posted November 11, 2003 Travis Roche was waived by the Wild yesterday. Actually, can anybody confirm the information regarding Roche? I read it in today's Fargo Forum transaction report, but haven't been able to find any additional information on hockey-related websites. Quote
Diggler Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 The GF Herald also said that the Wild waived Roche. I believe other teams have a week to pick him up. Otherwise the Wild can send him down to Houston. Quote

It's true... http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/sports/7218521.htm hopefully this eventually works out for him. Maybe he just wasn't cut out for Jacque's system. (The article has bad news about Bombardir's dad.) Quote
redwing77 Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Seems all the "excitement" about Roche was just hot air. I'm hoping someone picks him up. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 Great to see Jason Blake back and scoring a goal last night. Quote
PCM Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 Great to see Jason Blake back and scoring a goal last night. But how's Mapletoft doing? That's what I really need to know. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 But how's Mapletoft doing? That's what I really need to know. lol The mapletoft inquiries have to be saved in the "classic threads" section of this board. Quote
Smoggy Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 Great to see Jason Blake back and scoring a goal last night. Dang it! I'm a moron. I saw the game was being replayed on DirecTV, but didn't watch because I thought Blake wasn't playing. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Quote

dagies Posted November 17, 2003 Posted November 17, 2003 If Jason and Kevin had played we wouldn't have been outhustled on Friday night. Good luck Notermann! Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 As much as I dislike the Gophers, kudos goes to Jeff Taffe who put in a strong game last night in the Coyotes' win over the Blues (1 goal). Many here don't understand why he's not a regular in the lineup & that it's only a matter of time before he is. The Coyotes' beat writer gave a thumbs down to former BCer Kris Kolanos who conciously avoided responsibility in the 5-4 win. Kolanos also had a concussion early in the 2002-03 season, refused to play & missed a bunch of games even after the team dr. had cleared him... Quote
Goon Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 The Coyotes' ... Hey Phoneix, Can you tell us what is wrong with Landon Wilson, is he not getting enough ice time I noticed he has 0-1-1 in 17 games. I have NHL center ice and last game I don't even remember him on the ice the last time I watched the Yotes play. Quote

I have NHL center ice and last game I don't even remember him on the ice the last time I watched the Yotes play. I'm sure you're aware of this, but Wilson had a serious eye injury at midseason last year & missed most of the second half. However, he recovered fine & is, I think, a consistent 3rd/4th liner. Fox Sports Arizona isn't televising many games so far this year--I think they'll pick up coverage once the football season ends. But yes, he is playing consistently & plays solidly. Many fans here rallied around him last year when the eye injury occurred. Don't know why he isn't scoring more, though, as he still has a rocket shot... Quote

I follow most/all of the Sioux Players that are in the NHL right now via NHL center ice. In fact I am watching EDDIE Belfor getting shelled by the oilers tonight (he is one of my least favorite of the former Sioux players). I knew Landon hurt his eye last season when he took a puck to the eye from another team mate of his... One thing about Landon he will score goales in bunches, he goes games without goals and then Landon will score 7 goals in like 5 games. I still feel that the Boston Bruins gave up on him too fast, but the Bruins have done this with a lot of of their young players except for maybe Joe Thornton. Lets hope he score some goales soon... Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 I'll keep you posted if he has any remarkable games that you may not be able to see... Quote
sprig Posted November 23, 2003 Posted November 23, 2003 THe Wild, with their injury depleted D corps, called up Jason Marshall from Houston yesterday. Marshall was put on waivers (and cleared them) just prior to the start of the season. LeMaire said he was the best dman in Houston. Looks like Roche will definitely need to sign with someone else next year. Quote
Smoggy Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 (edited) Found a few pics of Hale. http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/2569 Some of the pictures are from tonights game (11-25-03). It does look like they have an archived section. How could I actually paste an image? Edited November 26, 2003 by cheeringsiouxfromsmoggycali Quote
