I was tuning in the Twins game a bit early and saw FLW Outdoors was fishing Cass Lake. Then I saw that one of the leaders was a Toby Kvalavog (spelling?) who's teaching somewhere in Minnesota for his full time job.

Is that our Toby, the goalie?

Update: They did a short story on him, and it is our Toby. The Sioux got a few highlights in along with him mentioning he was on the 1997 championship team. (Unfortunately he got the number of championships wrong, I think he said it was the 5th in 1997.)

Rylan Kaip is on the Thrashers roster posted online for their team at the tourney as well. I wonder if Smaby will represent Tampa or if he is too old or something silly like that.

Kaip is playing right now on Ch 215 DirectTV in the Atlanta/Tampa Bay NHL Prospect Tourney. In between periods right now tho.

Oshie is playing on NHL Network right now. St. Louis is tied up with Dallas 3-3, 2nd intermission. They did an interview with him during the 1st intermission. Basically talked about why he left UND and what he thinks of his chances of making the Big Club.

We all know how great Oshie is, but it is still great to hear the announcers, GM's, experts talk him up like they did last night. They also had some nice things to say about UND. It was awesome to get to see him play again -- didn't even need to know his number, I found him right away just by the way he was skating!!!

Kaip got two penalties in the first period -- the GM said you can get away with that stuff in college, but not the NHL...really?? We all saw that last year how our guys got beaten to death and not many calls!!!!

Fun to watch -- can't wait to see the next game.

I sent Ed Belfour a replica mini mask a few weeks back and received it back from him today and it was personalized! I was very excited. Anyone know where the Eagle has landed next season?

Where does he receive mail? My boys would probably want to send him some cards to have signed.

He signs through his team. I found an address on an autograph website that I used but he returned a note with the item saying he was relocating and would not be signing at that address anymore. I don't recall the address that I mailed the item.

The best advice I can give is wait until he signs with another team or you hear he will be in Grand Forks. Then mail the item to his new team or to the UND hockey program.

according to tsn.ca, Andy Schneider got invited to the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp, i know he had signed with the Marlies, and also, Karl Goehring was invited to the Vancouver Canucks camp, best of luck to them.

i understand that, his dad told me in denver that he wore #4 back in his younger days so thats what i was referring to as i read a few months back he may wear #74 with the blues
