dallassiouxfan Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 According to hockeybuzz.com, his return is still three weeks away. I got tickets to see the blackhawks play at the end of February. Hopefully he is back in the lineup then. Quote

31-9 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 The Devils must select another player to represent them in the All Star Game as Brodeur decided not to attend . . . . everyone thinks it'll be Parise . . . official announcement to be made by the end of tonight. And Parise scores . . . 5 PPG for the Devils tonight, Zach breaks a 10 game goal drought. Way to go Phailures. Quote

31-9 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Parise puts in his 2nd of the night. Zajac with the assist. A lot of the articles on tonight's game mentioned Zajac crediting his scoring streak to Hatcher biting him . . . The Devils joked that they'd ask Hatcher to bite them if it would get them to score more . . . Maybe Travis bit Zach? Quote

The first one took a little more skill, but not much. Quote

Devils will have an all-star . . . from one of the Devils' beat writers . . . It was posted after the article you linked to was posted for what it's worth. I hope they send Zach, he deserves it. 31-9 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 And the Devils' All-Star representative is . . . not Zach Parise. Guess he'll get that vacation after all. Also, everybody's favorite trade rumor monger Eklund is reporting talk of a trade between NJ and CAL with Phaneuf coming over for a package centered around Parise (e-567833563) Quote

Also, everybody's favorite trade rumor monger Eklund is reporting talk of a trade between NJ and CAL with Phaneuf coming over for a package centered around Parise (e-567833563) I cannot see Calgary trading Phaneuf, he is one of the best d-men in the game....and also wy would NJ want to trade Zach....this rumor is hogwash. If it was a valid rumor at all~! Quote
UNDintheNHL Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 you guys should learn not to listen to the idiot Eklund. he never knows what he is talking about. used to, but not anymore. he just posts random crap that means nothing. of course, if it happens, he is heralded as the next Nostradamus.....but usually it doesnt and has no real backing for why it would even happen. and Commy's 2 goals in the last 2 games were sweet. The first one was a shot from the right boards, about 5 feet above the circle, that got through about 3 skaters cleanly somehow. the 2nd (last night) was even nicer. he skated into the zone with the puck and just let a slapshot go, beating Dubbie somehow, even though he was about a foot in front of his crease already. siouxkid12 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 didnt parise just sign a multi year deal? Quote
31-9 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 you guys should learn not to listen to the idiot Eklund. Uhh, I know. That's why I rated his rumor an e-567833563. Perhaps this smiley may have been more appropriate didnt parise just sign a multi year deal? Yes, and Lou has publicly stated that Parise will not be traded. When he wants out, he'll have to do it the Gomez way. Quote
dropTHEgloves Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Phaneuf's contract is up shortly and I heard somewhere where the flames didn't know if they could give him a big deal and specifically a bigger deal than Iginla's because Jarome is the leader and captain of the team. Quote
SoCalSiouxFan Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Check out the Leksand Stars website (Swedish Language ) that features their new star goalie. 42 year old Ed Belfour. They have Belfour hats and tee shirts and other merchandise in their Starshop. http://www.leksandsif.se/index.php Last time I checked Eddie's record for this season was 11 Wins 2 Loses and 1 Tie; with 5 shutouts; a GAA of 1.84; and a .914 save %. Not bad for a 42 year old guy, with a bad back, that is accused of playing with vodka in his water bottle! Guess his back surgery went well. Quote
