BleedsSiouxGreen Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Wow! Another big upset! At this rate, I might be worried about tomorrows game Quote
7>4 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 UND gets a 5 min major with 5 minutes left in the game. I think you mean UNH. Anyone else think Anderson missed an obvious CFB against ND at about the 10 minute mark? Quote

It's not as if he was going one way, stopped and tried to turn back the other way? He didn't have the puck on his stick and was trying to regain control of the puck. Wasn't intentional but it was a check from behind. Good call. Quote
Bird Dog Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Interferrence call on ND with 3:42 left. 4 on 4 BD Quote
yekcoh Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I think you mean UNH. Anyone else think Anderson missed an obvious CFB against ND at about the 10 minute mark? Yes and yes. Now ND gets a 2 minute. 4 on 4 with 3:42 left in the game. Quote

There was no intent and a 5 inute major changes the entire game. BD Quote

BD IMO, It should have been at least a 4 minute penalty. The guy got rocked pretty good. Where there was no intent on the CFB, it was a pretty dangerous hit. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 The penalty isn't called based on intent. The action is all that matters. It is up to the ref though to call either a 2, 4 or 5 minute. I'm not sure if they take intent into play, or the severity of the hit. WTF? Just lost the Notre Dame/UNH game. Quote
farce poobah Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Nice reference by the UNH audio guys - who are really very likeable: "Notre Dame played like champions today." Quote
Bird Dog Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 The penalty isn't called based on intent. The action is all that matters. No but they could have called it boarding or something else. BD 7-3 ND Quote

Riverman Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 If it were WCHA teams the call would not be a 5 minute major. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 If it were WCHA teams the call would not be a 5 minute major. Yeah, it would have been a 2 minute for diving! Quote

It wasn't as bad as the non call CFB on Lapointe last weekend but hey that's the consistent WCHA officiating we all love. Quote
MafiaMan Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 If it were WCHA teams the call would not be a 5 minute major. It certainly would if CCHA, HE, or ECAC officials are calling the game. Quote
