  1. I think the guy writing the LetsGoDU blog is plagerizing PCM's article on Friday night's game. The write up on the blog and PCM's write up on USCHO are identical except the blog left out the last three paragraphs. I might be wrong, but I couldn't find any credit for the article given to PCM. Maybe it doesn't matter, but I know that most blogger's actually credit their sources and their quotes. (Oh yeah, and he calls Grand Forks "Possum Hollow" - he must not know there aren't any possums up here in the frozen land) http://letsgodu.blogspot.com/ http://www.uscho.com/recaps/20072008/m/02/15/du-und.php
  2. Has anyone heard any of Gwoz's comments? Over on Brad's blog there are a couple of comments left that indicate that Gwoz was probably shooting his mouth off, but the comments didn't make a lot of sense. (I think the posters might have been drunk )
  3. Would those "goons" also be known as Fighting Sioux Hockey Players? Seems that is the nickname everyone else in the country has for them. My description is just "HARD NOSED, IN YOUR FACE, DON'T TAKE ANY !@$!" players.
  4. OSHIE Please
  5. 23 midcontinent Grand Forks
  6. This seems to be a thread for calling attention to those who don't respect the Sioux or Sioux players. Was over on CSTV and they have a nice video of Eric Ehn on the front page of the hockey section. http://www.cstv.com/sports/m-hockey/cs-m-hockey-body.html Only one little problem with it. They intro it with "The Face of Air Force Hockey Hobey Baker Award Winner Eric Ehn is putting Air Fo..." Guess they didn't hear RYAN DUNCAN WON!!!! I get a little testy when someone disrespects the Sioux.
  7. I too would love to see him drop the gloves from time to time, but he is WAY too important to lose for a game or two, and I have a feeling that the coaches have instructed him to be very "judicious" in deciding whether to "drop em" or not. Remember last year during the Mankato game when Kaip was getting pummeled by Bruess and Hak and company told him not to drop the gloves.
  8. USCHO has an article on the RIT/Canisius fight. Seems they are having some of the same "issues" regarding officiating that the WCHA is. http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hockey/i...thOfFracas.html QUOTE: "No suspensions or disciplinary actions toward the officiating crew were announced by Atlantic Hockey. In a press release last Saturday, Canisius described the officials as having
  9. I wouldn't take UAA too lightly. Granted, the Sioux played pretty awful against the Seawolves, but I think their style of play had something to do with it and they sure played us hard for 120 minutes.
  10. Boy would the NC$$ have another cow if 3 of the four teams in the Frozen Four were WCHA. (Would be lots of fun to watch)
  11. See if you can get a note from your doctor, or maybe a note from your mommy will do.
  12. Then you have Tony Lucia that plays for daddy. Then again, maybe nobody else would "sign" him.
  13. What does pilloried mean? (too lazy to look it up myself )
  14. I HOPE SO!!!!
  15. Sorry, I meant why do the Sabre fans boo Chara. I know that Chara used to play for Ottawa and left a couple of years ago in free angency. Ottawa fans are still ticked and boo him every time he gets the puck when they play Boston.
  16. OOOPS
  17. Jon had a hell of a night back. Reading some stuff a couple days before he came back, Sutter said he was only going to play him on special teams situations, but played him ALL NIGHT. His stats from Sunday: 1 assist Plus 1 for the night Played 22:43 minutes 2 shots on goal 1 Giveaway 1 Takeaway 15 faceoffs won, 4 faceoffs lost = 79% Guess he's feeling OK Yea!!!
  18. I came in after the accident and what was so wierd was that for the longest time I thought it was a Buffalo player because the Buffalo players and coaches looked so much more concerned than Florida. Awful thing to happen. On a side note, Stafford is out 2-3 weeks with a "sprained ankle". Saw the hit that he got hurt on (legal, but HARD hit from Chara) and at least at that point when he was trying to get off the ice it looked more like a knee. I'm sure Stafford's doctors know more about it than I do though.
  19. I have to agree with the general feeling of your post. I'm not ready to call out any specific player yet as most of the upper classmen (with the exception of JPL) seem to be underperforming - or at least according to our expectations of this year, not playing to their potential.
  20. No, I rarely watch ESPN. Not enough hockey for me.
  21. Would he really consider Wisco? That would be blasphemous!!!!!!
  22. Didn't watch or listen to either game, but from watching the scores on the board both nights it seems that Michigan comes out of the gate fast and then fades. Might be something for the boys to keep in mind if we happen to run across them in the tourney.
  23. Who is the recruit? Would the fact that it's being televised on FSSN be any indication of who's he's choosing?
  24. Early in the evening we had moved into 5th in pairwise alone, but after Denver's win, they flipped us, so we're at 6 and Denver is at 5.
  25. Watching the Avs/Cannuks game and the Avs are winning and the Cannuk anouncers talking about how tired Vancouver is from flying back from Atlanta. Sounded exactly like Lucia.
