  1. Once again it's Denver that is the benificiary as they play Minn next week and UND the week after that. I think I smell a conspiacy.
  2. St. Cloud was the first Sat night road win that we didn't wear the blacks. Prior to that it was Green on Friday (lose) - Black on Sat (win). I just want the extra insurance.
  3. Not that it means anything cause it's not used, but Krach has 7 WCHA teams qualifying for the tourney (first 14 spots stay the same and the last two are filled by the conference leaders of the two conferences not currently represented in the top 16, assuming that conference leaders win conference tournaments). This is supposedly a better "judge" of where teams should actually be rated, but just looking at it, it will never be adopted because the NCAA would have an absolute cow having to put 7 WCHA teams in the nationals. 4. Just for a little extra jump and insurance, let's break out the black swifts.
  5. Just looked through the box scores and Schmidt didn't ref last night. Does anyone know if he is still suspended or just had the weekend off?
  6. Hey, let's work together on this tonight. We'll beat the gophers again for you and you can beat Denver again for us and we'll all be happy.
  7. Would Lucia actually start Frazee tonight? Kangas played well. Even though the goofers lost, he kept them in the game until the end.
  8. I just didn't wait long enough. Rk Team PCWs W-L-T Win % Rk RPI Rk 1 Miami 24 25-3-0 .8929 1 .6110* 1 2 Michigan 23 22-3-2 .8519 2 .6044* 2 3t Colorado College 21 19-7-1 .7222 3 .5915 3 3t Denver 21 18-7-0 .7200 4 .5867 4 5t North Dakota 20 17-8-1 .6731 8 .5834 5 5t New Hampshire 20 16-7-1 .6875 6 .5728* 6 7 Michigan State 17 17-6-5 .6964 5 .5597 8 8 Clarkson 16 15-8-2 .6400 11 .5390 12 Edit: Now we just need to have Miami and Michigan show their true colors.
  9. I am SHOCKED!!!!! We played IN Minnesota and we ended up with 4 powerplays (not that we necessarily did anything with them) and MN ended up with 3. Has that EVER happened before? I have a feeling heads are going to roll tomorrow.
  10. How come we didn't move at all in the pairwise with Michigan tying to a much lower team and DU losing to a much lower team (I know it was great for us that Mankato won to keep them as a TUC)?
  11. A little off topic, but who drew the short straw and ended up with Randy Schmidt? Was it a one goal game?
  12. Can you post a link to the article - I didn't see that.
  13. Gonna need your "help" tonight guys. Have to go watch my nephew's bantam game so I'll need you all to take good "notes". Thanks
  14. http://www.mndaily.com/articles/2008/02/01/72165290 Quote: "But there is a difference between being physical and being cheap, and Bickel is the former. " Really?? That's not what I've seen watching him!!!!!!!
  15. I'm starting to feel good about Friday's game. My horiscope this morning said "Tonight: ENJOY THE MOMENT"
  16. Oshie's on a mission - I'll take him.
  17. I wonder why I don't have the animosity against Vanek that I have against Kessel.
  18. I remember a couple of years ago when our powerplay was absolutely horrendous (can't remember the year exactly) and when a penalty was called on the opposing team everyone in my section would yell "WE DECLINE"
  19. I really miss it also. I always remember too late on Wednesdays and I miss it. I went over to USCHO to look for his recap over there but couldn't find it. Very easily could have missed it though.
  20. Just checked the Hawks site for an injury update on Jon. Said he was expected to start skating on his own today, probably join the team in Calgary next week and could possibly back in the line up Feb 13 against Columbus. Hurry back Jonny - We miss ya dude.
  21. Watching the Ducks vs Wild on VS and saw Jonathon on a VS commercial. A rookie and the kid is already doing comercials for the league and the TV network broadcasting it. The kid is doing WELL!!
  22. Boy, I sure hope those numbers translate over to D1 WCHA.
  23. Also Commodore with an assist. (Travis also had a goal last night, unfortunately it counted for Pittsburg )
  24. http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hockey/i...yJan292008.html Both Michigan and BC in our bracket this week. How lucky are we (we just seem to have a lot of history with these two teams.)
  25. Often a hard thing to do against the Gophers - especially if Campion or Shepard are reffing. (Anybody have any inside info on who the refs will be?)
